…so, it's January 2013, and this book gets solicited. i already own the complete SK library in HC, which makes my collection special enough to me without any extremely limited editions or signed editions; i'm a content person, and HC first and foremost (and on a budget).

but this edition caught my eye because when first announced, the dust cover / interior artist was Gabriel Rodriguez. i'm a huge Locke & Key fan, so i decided to splurge and order it.

alas, somewhere along the way, the art duties got switched to Vincent Chong. i love his art too, i really do; but the book lost that sentimental relevance. i still went back-n-forth, but ultimately, i already have 'The Shining' and i don't need two copies so this one is up for grabs.

if no one here wants it, i'll try Craigslist and then eBay. i only want to cover my investment: asking price is $106.00 plus whatever your preferred USPS shipping method costs.

thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I assume your copy does not come with the chapbook of Vincent Chong's Sketches, right?

hey John, you're correct. the chapbook is not included, but not because i didn't receive it.

i've collected the chapbooks about King's work, and recently decided to have them bound in
hardcover (the same way i've been having my comics bound). even though this was no longer
gonna be a Gabriel Rodriguez sketchbook, at the time i hadn't decided to sell the Shining, so
when it arrived i included the Vincent Chong sketchbook in the binding project. i regret that
decision now (a little), but it's done.

here's some pics of the two volumes, so you can see what i'm referring to.

it started with the comic books. i just got so tired of the boxes... and bags-n-boards, and i love a HC book; i did some digging and a lot of people have their comics bound into HC. it probably would never have happened, but there is a book bindery 15 minutes from my house, so i don't have to pay S&H for the books to and from the bindery. the $$ saved made it possible, and the chapbooks just fell into the plan.
