1. Do you play a musical instrument? If so, which one/s? If not, and you could, which instrument? Drums and trumpet in my youth. Always wanted to play the guitar but never had the dexterity in my fingers.

2. Have you ever used the "Magic 8 Ball" to make a decision? Is there any other way?

3. If you could choose one famous person to have never existed, who would it be? Tough one...Hitler be would my first thought. Interesting question.

4. If you got to go back in time for a day, what date or time period would you choose? 11/22/63 without a doubt.

5. What's your favorite charity? Wounded Warrior.

6. What brand of athletic shoe do you wear? I like New Balance.

7. If there was a movie made about you, what would it be called? What actor/actress would you want to play you? Not sure of the title but it would star myself and Kate Beckinsale. She realizes that her true calling is to move to Arkansas and falls for a mild mannered Government employee. Maybe we could call it Underworld: Rise of the Arkansan Hillbilly.

8. If you could resurrect a TV show that no longer airs new episodes, which one would it be? (assuming it would be just as good if not better than it was) Millennium with Lance Henriksen.

9. Other than death or illness of yourself or ones you love, what is your biggest fear? Letting my guard down.

10. Would you trade the ability to read words for the ability to read minds? Nah, most humans are predictable anyway.
...nah, it would be called "The Day I Got My Ass Kicked, When Mama Ghost Found Out....

SUNDAY SURVEY (April 12, 2015)

First off: Good survey!

1. Do you play a musical instrument? If so, which one/s? If not, and you could, which instrument?

No. Any of them. Drums, I guess.

2. Have you ever used the "Magic 8 Ball" to make a decision?

I have only the vaguest notion of what that is, so no.

3. If you could choose one famous person to have never existed, who would it be?

Hitler is the first thought. Ghengis Khan was no peach.

4. If you got to go back in time for a day, what date or time period would you choose?

Late Cretaceous, IF i could be guaranteed to come back if something bad were about to happen.

5. What's your favorite charity?

American Cancer Society.

6. What brand of athletic shoe do you wear?

Merrill.

7. If there was a movie made about you, what would it be called? What actor/actress would you want to play you?

Nice Enough But Boring. I would not wish this career-ending role on any actor.

8. If you could resurrect a TV show that no longer airs new episodes, which one would it be? (assuming it would be just as good if not better than it was)

Firefly comes to mind.

9. Other than death or illness of yourself or ones you love, what is your biggest fear?

I'm thinking that losing my mind, or physical abilities, or some such thing would classify as "illness." So......

I'm stumped.

10. Would you trade the ability to read words for the ability to read minds?

Nope. I've gotten along fine without the ability to read minds. I'm not sure I could get along without being able to read.

1. Do you play a musical instrument? If so, which one/s? If not, and you could, which instrument?
Yes, guitar.

2. Have you ever used the "Magic 8 Ball" to make a decision?
No, I can't remember ever having a magic 8 ball

3. If you could choose one famous person to have never existed, who would it be?
The past is obdurate, it doesn't want to be changed - we all know this, but I'd go along with Hitler

4. If you got to go back in time for a day, what date or time period would you choose?
Suburban 50's Americana (I had that bug long before 11/22/63, that just cemented it). Or the San Francisco 60's hippy movement.

5. What's your favorite charity?
NSPCC (National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children)

6. What brand of athletic shoe do you wear?
Most commonly Nike, but I also have Adidas Originals, Puma, Fred Perry and Penguin

The Quickly Ending Story. (He was born, not much happened, he's still alive.) An unknown actor.

8. If you could resurrect a TV show that no longer airs new episodes, which one would it be? (assuming it would be just as
good if not better than it was)

Dead Like Me - 2 seasons and a stright to DVD movie minus 2 main actors was just unacceptable for such a unique show

9. Other than death or illness of yourself or ones you love, what is your biggest fear?

Dying alone

10. Would you trade the ability to read words for the ability to read minds?

I'd say no - some things a best left unknown, plus you'd be killed or sectioned in no time at all.

Good questions.

That one occurred to me too. We freakin loved that show. We saw the movie and decided, "Let's forget all that and just go back to reruns of the original series." What was the movie about? Beats me. I forgot all that.

Rube got his lights after Der Wafflehaus burnt down (so no Mandy Patenkin and no classic setting), Daisy had turned into an airhead because Laura Harris didn't play her so they changed the character to suit the actor. The 2 main plot lines were Rube's replacement being an ass and they end up killing him, and Georgia's Sister (who's boyfriend is in a coma and facing death) finally getting closure on Georgia's death when she got to talk to her again. It was quite hard to watch it because the show was so good.

I also loved Dead Like Me. Own the seasons. And they did a wrap up movie sort of thing. It just wasn't the same without Patinkin. I have a feeling he's a real ass to work with. He comes into shows, makes them fantastic and then leaves very quickly.

To this day, my children call me Joy occasionally and throw out the word, "Moist."

I've never seen this show Firefly. When was it on? What network?
It was on a few years ago. I can't remember if it was 2002 or maybe 2003 but it was on FOX Network. It's cross between Sci-Fi and the Old West. Nathan Fillion stars in it as the Captain of a rag-tag group of ex-military rebels called "Brown Coats". These brown coats fought a losing war against a league of planets called "The Alliance". The alliance wanted to pacify the outer ring planets because they were "lawless". The show has some of the best characters I've ever seen, they are all quirky but Nathan Fillion does a spot on job in his character. The show only lasted one season and I know there were a lot of disappointed fans when it ended. They wrapped up the series with a very good movie called "Serenity". I really liked the movie but I'm still sore over them canceling my second favorite television series. You can catch Firefly in syndication on the Sci-FI network sometimes and I think it may be on Netflix now. It's only one season so it doesn't take long to watch the episodes.

Thanks ghost.

I had never even heard of it (didn't even sound familiar) ... but I noticed a handful of people mentioned it as a show they would like to "bring back" - Sounds interesting, may make an effort to check it out...

I can't really remember watching a bad episode. The dialogue amongst the Captain and crew is written very well. It's not slapstick or anything like that, it's an overall serious show, but there are some great one liners.

I was reading back through the posts to try to get an idea of who has done this recently, and I got bored with it so I'm throwing out random names in the hopes that someone will be able to pull 10 questions together at the last minute! I apologize if you did it already / recently....

skimom2 ghost19 HollyGolightly Grandpa ???
I've already had a turn, and I think skimom2 has too. Someone will step up - right, y'all? I could be wrong about skimom2, though.
