1. Do you have anything unique hanging on your walls? My office/dining room is a hodge-podge of the kid's artwork over the years. She had no idea what a blue meanie was, but she had to draw a "creature" and she nailed it.

2. What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? Roam the woods with my friends - there were 5 of us and we roamed and adventured all day everyday.

3.Do you live in a house or apartment? House

4. What was your first job? Waitressing - I loved that job

5.What is your favorite dish your mom makes/made? Banana Pudding

6.What is your favorite place to go in the summer? I.E beach, park, etc. Beach

7. Is your kitchen table round or square? Round

8. What kind of vehicle do you drive. Pontiac Torrent

9. Who is your favorite cartoon character? Charlie Brown

10. Do you have a favorite t-shirt that you wear? I'm not really into wearing t-shirts but when I do, it's just plain white men's Hanes V-necks

1. Why do you think people would like to the visit the area where you live? It's very scenic here, right in the middle of the Ozark Mountains.

2. What about your significant other gets on your nerves? (If not in a relationship, imagine.) Her backseat driving, after 20 years and no matter how many times I complain, she still does it.

3. What TV show do you watch that you’d be embarrassed to tell your friends? I don't really watch a lot of shows, more a movie watcher. Only show I've kept up with recently is Justified.

4. How do you think you’d react if your son or daughter told you he/she was gay? (If no children, imagine.) It would not bother me in the least, I love my son unconditionally.

5. What was your favorite or most memorable Halloween costume as a kid? Chewbacca. I dressed up as that character something like five years in a row.

6. Think of your favorite teacher. Why was he/she so special? He tried to prepare me for college telling me that making straight A's in high school did not translate to necessarily making good grades in college, but like the dumb-assed teenager I was, I didn't listen very well. This lack of insight ended up costing me my academic scholarship and was the main reason I never graduated college. Life gets in the way sometimes I guess.

7. What do you wish you could do in excess (without any ill consequences)?Ahhh, I'm not touching this one.

8. What’s the fastest you’ve ever driven and for what reason? Around 140mph. I used to have a 2000 Stage 2 Roush Mustang, it would haul some serious ass.

9. Do you ever use a real dictionary (nothing electronic)? Nah, not in quite a while, I use dictionary.com

10. Tell about a place or event you were forced to go to by someone else (parents, significant other, friends, etc.) My parents took me to Silver Dollar City one summer and made me do one of those idiotically tacky western old-time family photographs. The expression on my face is priceless in the picture. My mom describes the expression as halfway between murder and insanity. I pissed and moaned about the photo for years because she hung it up right in the living room, so all my friends, girlfriends, could see it. In the picture I'm wearing a coon skin cap, if that tells you anything about the type of picture.

Great questions Danie. Have a good weekend ma'am.

1. Why do you think people would like to the visit the area where you live?

It's a charming town, energetic and attractive, with easy access to picturesque canyons, and only an hour away from some of the prettiest scenery anywhere.

2. What about your significant other gets on your nerves? (If not in a relationship, imagine.)

Nothing! She's perfect in every way! And she might read this someday!

3. What TV show do you watch that you’d be embarrassed to tell your friends?

I don't brag about Arrow much.

4. How do you think you’d react if your son or daughter told you he/she was gay? (If no children, imagine.)

I'd want them to be happy. If I'm going to be honest, deep within my very heart of hearts, I would feel some unease, but I would dismiss it as an artifact emotion from an obsolete attitude. I'd just want them to be happy.

5. What was your favorite or most memorable Halloween costume as a kid?

Wow. I hate to say it, but I don't remember any of my kid Halloween costumes. We generally made our own. I just don't remember.

6. Think of your favorite teacher. Why was he/she so special?

He was a World War II veteran who would tell us some combat anecdotes, and he would reassign seating every two weeks to keep it interesting, and every time he did, he would keep the couples going steady in seats next to each other.

7. What do you wish you could do in excess (without any ill consequences)?

Motorcycling.

8. What’s the fastest you’ve ever driven and for what reason?

150 or so. I was on a track in a NASCAR racer, the mechanic next to me. It was a group outing.

(I tried to upload a picture of the car, but the uploader isn't working for me today, in this or other threads.)

9. Do you ever use a real dictionary (nothing electronic)?

Not anymore. I'd like to say it's sad, but I can get the spellings and meanings more quickly electronically.

10. Tell about a place or event you were forced to go to by someone else (parents, significant other, friends, etc.).

Washington, D.C. Mom said we'd go wherever I wanted to go that year, I said camping, and she said D.C. It was miserable. Rained most of the time, and we couldn't find parking spots, and the traffic was terrible. Found ourselves in a decidedly wrong neighborhood, and the parents were terrified. In later years, I went to D.C. a number of times and loved it, but that year, we should've gone camping.

Great survey, danie - enjoyed it!

1. Why do you think people would like to the visit the area where you live?
The mountains, especially if someone doesn't live near a range. I'm ambivalent about most everything around here but them--they're absolutely magnificent.

2. What about your significant other gets on your nerves? (If not in a relationship, imagine.)
Nitpickyness. It makes him a wonder on the job (he's a quality inspector), but can be aggravating in real life.

3. What TV show do you watch that you’d be embarrassed to tell your friends?
Can't think of anything right now.

4. How do you think you’d react if your son or daughter told you he/she was gay? (If no children, imagine.)
A little sad, but not because of their sexuality (that's not my business). The social and cultural pressure/judgement can be so difficult.

5. What was your favorite or most memorable Halloween costume as a kid?
Gypsy. I loved wearing the swirly skirt, makeup, and huge gold hoop earrings. I think I was a gypsy 3 or 4 years in a row.

6. Think of your favorite teacher. Why was he/she so special?
I have 2, both in high school. Both challenged me to challenge myself.

7. What do you wish you could do in excess (without any ill consequences)?
Read. I'd read all day, every day if I could.

8. What’s the fastest you’ve ever driven and for what reason?
around 100 mph, very late at night on the way to TX when my grandpa was dying. I sort of forgot to even look at the speedometer.

9. Do you ever use a real dictionary (nothing electronic)?
Yep.

10. Tell about a place or event you were forced to go to by someone else (parents, significant other, friends, etc.).
Hard to force me to do anything since I was a kid (parents could do that). I force myself to go to anything with my ILs (particularly SIL); it's never enjoyable, but I don't want to cut BH or kids off from his dad (FIL is not well).

CRUEL WOMAN!!:) My wife says the same thing every time we go see my parents and she sees my eyeballing the picture. That particular photo has a date with a fire pit someday, oh yes, it WILL happen. What was even funnier about the whole situation is that my best friend went with us to Silver Dollar City. I can still remember the smirk on his face as the photographer took the picture. Of course, he was very professional about it and only told EVERYONE in our school the next Monday. What are friends for, after all?:)
