M-O-O_N, that spells clouds.
Just as the last splinter of the moon disappeared, Mother Nature pulled the plug on our view of the blood moon with a blanket of clouds. A glimpse of it came out and one of my crazy-funny 10-yr-old daughters dropped to her knees and began to bow and chant: O moon of blood, I bow to you. She's a nut. The only pics I got were like this:
