I am kind all the time. I don't expect it in this area of the forum though.

I just suggested a repository for the sunshine and rainbows so you could go there anytime you like and get energized by all the positivity.

For the record, positivity is attracted to negativity, so if you find yourself needing so much... In other words, quit being such a sourpuss Sundrop! :p
fine.........I'll find something extra sappy for you......:heheh:

I guess I was just hoping for some stories from the less divisive side of politics and hot topics...... surely there are good things out there.

.......and I was being serious, too ♥
i know you're serious. Don't beat me to death with a daisy whip!!! :)

But, if it is politics, that by its very nature implies the battle of opinions. I am sure we can find some positive things the government is doing or undertaking. But in all seriousness, I think an area dedicated to Threads about positive stuff, uplifting stuff, inspirational stories, etc., is a good idea. I get why some prefer that and need it. Just not gonna happen in political forums for sure.

There's been a lot of bad press for police lately so thought I'd toss in this one that shows a more positive side of what is also part of their job.

Lost Elderly Woman In Scooter Chair Gets Police Escort Home -- At 6 MPH
When I worked in nursing I was a charge nurse at a nursing home for a bit. One Saturday night on the 3-11 shift, the phone rings. On the other end is the local PD. They ask me if I have a resident there named Kate. I said yes I do. Kate was 98 years old and had gone completely blind. But she was still a firecracker. She had been a reporter and in advertising in New York City most of her life.

Anyway, so I ask why they wanted to know. They informed me that she had been repeatedly calling 911 from her line in her room for a few hours. After apologizing I asked why she had been calling. The officer on the phone chuckled a bit and said, "She is out of toilet paper and wanted to know if we could help her get some."

I still laugh when I think about that. The story you linked made me think of it.

Ha, yeah she did. She would also call if her roommate wouldn't be quiet, if her drink wasn't cold enough and to tell the police she had been taken hostage and put in this awful place. The facility eventually had to remove the phone from her room because the police lost their sense of humor about it.
