No offence taken on my part, I just wasn't sure what the Q was for. Although I prefer "questioning" over "queer". You're right about how people describe themselves, one of my friends has used that word along with "bent" to describe himself, but I have other friends who find the terms derogatory. Each to their own. :smile2:

I hate the word "questioning" in that usage. None of the people I personally know are questioning. They know they are gay....no question about it.

I get using "bent", in a mocking way. If I am "straight" then what is the opposite? Bent.

Yeh I've had friends who have questioned their sexuality, and one friend is actually doing that now at the age of 35, so I appreciate where the "questioning" can apply.

I think that word would be offensive too. So are we going to have another word that is ok for some people to say and not others? Don't we have enough of these words already? If it's offensive, no one should be saying it.
