y'know, I'm not the brightest crayon in the box but I never suspected that many/most of the Survivor contestants were recruits rather than applicants until I read a couple articles yesterday. Some contestants weren't even fans of Survivor.

I wasn't aware of that either, no bounce. I thought most contestants auditioned to go on the show, by having to make fire or open a coconut..........:D

I like how they ended with one of the last three getting to vote out a jury member, very interesting reward and well played by Michelle.
That may well have been a huge factor in her win.
I'm also happy that Mark didn't get slaughtered and that he will get to die a natural death.
About Joe and the Meat (Dibs on band name).
I am a vegetarian who every couple of years falls off the meat wagon and will go on hamburger binges to rival the Hamburglar. Every time I do my body goes into revolted sick mode and the same sort of thing happens to me. Sometimes it's the opposite reaction to can't go and is can't stop, both are bad news and painful. I was worried that Joe was going to pay for his carnivorous foray into reward madness. I like Joe. Bad way to go out indeed.

Did a pretty girl win?
Yes - actually it WAS a pretty girl!

That was quite a surprise after all.

Michele didn't outplay, IMO. She got lucky on the last two challenges. I wanted to see Aubry win. But I'm guessing the other 2 of the final 3 do get some moolah for playing. $100k and $250k, I read somewhere. Then there's the $50K Tai got from Sia (or whatever her name is), which was really cool. Good for her in matching that for an animal charity of his choice, too.

The next Survivor should be a riot: Millenials v. Gen X. In Fiji. I'm thinking of creating a drinking game. Whenever a Gen X-er says "Suck it up, Princess" or a Millenial calls an X-er "old," take a drink.

I'll play! Maybe I could drink through Survivor instead of eating like a savage beast. ;;D
I think next season will be a hoot! Can't wait. Wish they'd have a third team of Baby Boomers. I know who I'd be rooting for.

Yes she did. At first I thought it was all luck and charm, but after giving it some thought, I suppose she earned props for a game well played. I wanted Cydnee, Tia, Joe or Aubry to win. I liked them better, but the pretty girl gets my nod of approval in the end.... For what that's worth.
She also turned on the water works (tears) which were probably genuine for what it's worth. What a girl eh?

Thanks.

Although I don't watch the show, you can't escape the dang thing... it seems to be everywhere; like Dancing With The ("has been") Stars. So I always root for the oldest guy, or the prettiest girl, left standing... On both shows. :)

Well, I was really pulling for Aubry but Michelle played well. That she took Neal out of jury play was the clincher for her, I think. I was kind of surprised Michelle got both Scot and Jason's votes. (I am assuming that anyway.) I thought Scot would vote for Tai, just because of the blindside and being an athlete, I thought Scot might come to appreciate the big move.

Still need to watch reunion show, just watched it up to the vote reading. :)

Tai didn't get any votes, which was a bit of a surprise. I think the final vote tally was 5-2.
How strange. I thought it would be between Aubry and Tai. My prediction was that Tai would win. Looks like I need a new crystal ball.
Tai played his little heart out, he made some poor judgement calls but he was a champ in hard physical challenges. He did get a little sketchy toward the end, and I think that's what really hurt him in the end. His inability to articulate and explain his actions didn't help either. Oh well.
I'm really happy though that, who ever that was in the lamp-shade-hat-hair-do, stepped up and donated all that money to Tai's charity.
