carrie's younger brother: the prize for the Guardian competition is a creative writing workshop and the story being published on the website. It is not the short story collection.

I totally get it with the differing rules of games of chance in differing countries. but I will have to look up the international copyright thing. I am a lawyer but have no knowledge of copyright law as so specialist. However with the net distribution rights can be infringed with impunity (except for the fact as mentioned of a book being released in one territory before another not being sold internationally on the net.

@MsModerator: However I could theoretically say "meh Hodder are charging too much for "Bazaar" so I'll get the US edition on Amazon.com or alibris instead...will have to research it. I just checked I can buy any of SK's books in US edition that I can get here but I can't buy that new audiobook on itunes :/

P.S I can buy "Drunken Fireworks" on Amazon.com as a CD though through a third party seller. The mind boggles :(

Yes, just as I can order books from the UK through Amazon.uk.com but it's not the publisher itself that is distributing the books outside the territory. That's the rub.

Next contest just have a Hunger Games type event. A contestant from each country that publishes King's works would compete. Last one standing wins the prize. Fair is fair. :)

And I could find a country where it will be legal to host just such an event. So... have King’s people contact my people to get the ball rolling on this. ;)

By any chance will you start wearing a white rose from now on?;;D

I wished then that Heyne would do such a thing and let you know about it Mrs. Mod. It's always so sad for the foreigners. I do not even need a signed copy just a copy to read and enjoy SK stories. In Germany you do not need to pay taxes on presents from sweepstakes.

LOL... Of course. I will be wearing a light gray suit with a half a dozen of those roses by my side, overseeing the carnage... and the people will refer to me as The Man Who Loved Flowers. ;):)

It's a real big thing with the roses and President Snow.

latest

That's what I called "wearing" by the way.

And he did love his garden. I enjoyed his character the best (although the one Woody Harrelson portrays come in a close second) in the two movies I've seen (I haven't seen the latest). :)

The last wasn't the best. There was a little twist at the end but all in all it was to predictable.
