I know it's cliche now, but Plan 9 From Outer Space is just so laughably, hilariously, incompetent. I mean, it doesn't let up. From the off-screen death of Boris Karloff (walks around garage, you hear screeching breaks, a scream, and that's all), to the sheriff scratching his head with the business end of his revolver, with the dizzying lack of continuity of whether it's day or night (that one lady sits out on her night patio the whole freakin' movie, I think) to the wobbly flying saucer to ... oh, tune it in anywhere. You can't miss. Just don't expect sense. There's no reason to MST3K this one. It does it for itself.

As for bad fifties sci-fi, I've always liked ROBOT MONSTER. Gorilla suit? Check. Diving helmet? Check. We have our 'monster'. MST3K took a crack at it. It even gets a mention in King's DANSE MACABRE--Uncle Stevie writes about watching it stoned and laughing his arse off.

This is one of my favorites. It was really hokey lol :)

Absolutely. They did a couple sequels, like, IT'S ALIVE 2 and ISLAND OF THE ALIVE, right? Or are those the same movie? I know they did one, at least.

Reminds me another, THE BROOD, Cronenberg, Oliver Reed--killer toddlers and disgusting 'births' (some nasty stuff--one brat beats a lady to death with a meat tenderizing mallet, leaving bloody square hash marks all over her face).

Evil killer kid genre, big in the seventies, apparently. Really weird one, THE VISITOR, from '79. Lotta biggies; old, creepy John Huston is an alien hunting for this nasty little foul mouthed evil girl. Lance Henrickson, Shelley Winters, Franco Nero pops up as a blue-eyes alien 'Jesus' right at the end. Just a weird, weird flick.

That (and the fight scene between Nettie and Wilma in Needful Things) are the best fight scenes ever! :) They Live is one of my all-time favorite movies. It stays on my dvr :)

They Live rocks. Saw it at a midnight showing on the big screen last fall. Great time!

South Park did a shot for shot recreation of the fight scene with Jimmy and Timmy awhile back. Pretty awesome \w/
