I don't mean any disrespect to you Sunny because we have always been aces . . .but, REALLY?

Not a single one? I think it's beautiful to cry when you watch some movies. It feels like a purge of emotions to me . . .like dumping the pains of life. I appreciate your honesty.
Yes, REALLY..... I just don't cry when watching movies. That doesn't mean that I haven't been touched or felt an emotional connection to some of the characters....I just haven't ever cried.....during a movie, that is.
I think it really has a lot to do with going through a lot of crap, and with various people in life, and somehow certain emotions eventually became blocked.
No disrespect was taken, I know where you were coming from...we're still aces ♥

I cry at lots of movies and books. Started when I lost my father at 18, got worse after my kids where born. The ending of Insomnia always gets me
Having kids made me much more of a mush head about everything-movies, books, music. I had to put JOYLAND down for a few hours when I got to the first sad part--had NO idea it was a
dying kid book
, and I don't think I'll ever read CUJO again--it tore me up BEFORE I had kids.

The Color Purple was the first film to make me cry in a cinema. Steel Magnolias always gets the tears going.
I think the
funeral
scene might be the best scene ever written, in anything. Hard enough to get pathos right without being maudlin, but then he segues you right into helpless, gasping laughter. I admire the hell out of a writer who can hit that golden mark, even if he only did it once. Most never do.

Why are people ashamed of liking Titanic? It's a damn good film. Maybe I'll start a Titanic Anonymous club? 'Hi, my name is Dan and I love Titanic.'!! :biggrin-new: Oooo, just thought of another movie- I think it's called Somewhere In Time and stars Jane Seymore and Christopher Reeves! That one made me SOB!
