Are there any technologically gifted folks around?
I need the advice of somebody smarter than I am.
I just got a brand new Samsung Galaxy phone. Got it set up, works great, been using it for a couple of days. But after I added minutes to it today, it now says I have no mobile signal. I'm so confused. Can anybody help?

Adding minutes shouldn't affect mobile signal. Are you able to make calls at all? Has the phone been activated by whatever service you are using?
It was working great. Then bam. Nothing. But I powered it off and left it for a while, then tried again. Now it's working fine.
:)

Now, hooking my new tv up to the HDMI.....
I swear. Dealing with all this techie stuff is my grandmother's revenge for not knowing how to program her vcr.

Hi Lep, glad to hear you figured it out. Phone signals can be weird and drop out unexpectedly, depending on your location. You've discovered the secret of powering the device down and rebooting. This solves a lot of computer type problems but if they reoccur often it could be a bigger issue.
I knew the trick of restarting for the computer, but this is the first phone I've had to do it with. But it's working, so it's okay :)

4 scientists were driving down the highway to a convention when the car stopped working. They rolled to the side of the road and stopped. The chemical engineer said it must be the fuel/air mixture ratio that is incorrect. The mechanical engineer said it must be the misalignment of the cam shaft. The electrical engineer said it must be the solenoid. The computer engineer said "What if we all get out, then get back in?".
