I recall my son had a little thing called a Tamagochi that you had to feed, keep alive, allow it to sleep etc. It was a little plastic doo-dad on a key chain. He wanted one because all the other kids had one!

I remember the big trial with O.J. Simpson and Nicole - that is all they had on the TV in Wing Operations when I worked there.

I recall Clinton and the infamous blue dress (poor Hilary); and then all the bad jokes that came out of that.

Political correctness and being made more aware of sexual harassment was a big thing where I worked (oh yeah and we had to have a "business plan") - this was the military! (what business plan do THEY need??)

Took my son to see The Spice Girls movie (he was still quite young) and remember some Moms being appalled at them but they never bothered me!

I had one of these. You could plug it into your existing cassette player in your car and play cds. This had tendency to skip, mainly because there was no place flat to put it. It had to ride on the passenger seat or the console. If I remember correctly, I paid around $300.00 for this thing back then. Adjusted for inflation, that would be about $500.00. It wasn't the wisest purchase I ever made. ;-D

I had one made by Magnavox which came with a shock absorbing enclosure. It rarely skipped. I loved it.
