I haven't read this one, but saw an interesting program about the book on CSPAN this weekend. It's basically an account of a burglary of the FBI office in Media, PA back in the 70's. It was planned and pulled off by more or less ordinary citizens who were concerned with the policies of J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI. They wanted to obtain documents that could be sent to the press which showed the abuses. Interesting story on many levels including civil disobedience and the role of citizens. The FBI launched a massive investigation but never identifed the individuals responsible. Because the statute of limitations has now run, several of these folks have agreed to come forward and tell the story. I have to admit that I admire them a bit, but kept thinking about someone like Timothy McVeigh who was probably equally convinced of his cause and concerns with the government.
