I drive mine in the snow all the time. Snow tires and you're good to go!
Aren't you afraid the salt will rust it up?
If it were just local people on the roads here, snow tires would be fine. Unfortunately, I'm in a mountain college town, and resort area. The students can't drive on a clear day, much less on slippery roads. And the tourists?......I can't even.....

They don't use straight salt up here.

If you get an undercarriage wash every couple weeks you are usually OK.

I also get a full detail at the end of October so the wax helps keep stuff from sticking.

They're using some kind of salt and liquid stuff here....highly corrosive, awful stuff. I wash the car every day in the winter just to try to keep it off the underneath.

Many years ago almost got into a fistfight with Ric Ocasek in NY. He claimed I cut in front of him at a McDonald's drive thru. He got out of the car and came over yelling at me. So I got out of the car and the argument started. Luckily his wife Paulina came over when it really started heating up and calmed both of us down. The guy was a hot head.

Perhaps. It was an odd setup at the McD’s. I came in from an entrance near the drive thru. His car was in the drive thru lane but wasn’t paying attention and was about 3 car lengths back from the car in front of him, and he had the cars behind him backed up to all the way to the street. I thought maybe the vehicle was having car trouble and I got in line.
