My husband and I decided that we have a great suggestion for Roland, should a movie and or series ever happen: Andrew Lincoln from The Walking Dead. How great would he be?

I've certainly considered that! Welcome to the boardMy husband and I decided that we have a great suggestion for Roland, should a movie and or series ever happen: Andrew Lincoln from The Walking Dead. How great would he be?
He does seem to be able to handle a gun - would he look good in a cowboy type hat?

He can handle a gun; I've read that he gets to the set at least a month early and learns to properly use every weapon he's going to be using (like, at sharpshooter level). Pretty dedicated actor. Added bonus: he rides a horse American-style I giggled at Daniel Craig all the way through Cowboys & Aliens--he may be a decent actor, but he totally rides like a Brit
Thanks skimom2 - I just learned something new!Silly Western Americans (I can't speak for the East or show riding/jumping--that's outside of what I know) sit a horse very differently than Brits--more loungy, less straight up and down and elbows out (lol)
You're welcome My family is from the intermountain west and I've been around horses and seen them ridden (and ridden them myself--lol) my whole life, so seeing it done differently is immediately apparent. The article is a little wrong, though: although western riders aren't laying down in the saddle (lol), they are much more relaxed than English-style; the weight is distributed differently, more to the seat than the thighs (not sure I'm making sense). Thanks skimom2 - I just learned something new!

Yes, you are making sense - I have ridden in the past (my friend's horse) but unfortunately the horse went from a trot, to a canter, to a gallop and at the time I weighed about 110 pounds or so - wow! You're welcome My family is from the intermountain west and I've been around horses and seen them ridden (and ridden them myself--lol) my whole life, so seeing it done differently is immediately apparent.
