Got an episode and a half to catch up on. I dig it, but really can't see em dragging it out much longer. Those two old broads are gonna run out of things to sqwak about.

But yeesh, what an evil beast that Hedda Hopper musta been. First, Trumbo, and now this.
Hedda Hopper was a force to be reckoned with back in the day. She had almost as much clout as William Hearst in the entertainment industry. She could make or break a career with one sentence.

I believe it said next week was the series finale. Bette didn't come off well in this episode at all.

Poor Joan. Mamacita said the next time Joan thru something at he head she was gone! I've never had an employer who hurled stuff at my head. Anybody else? I'll bet Oprah does it to her personal assistants all the time.

I really enjoyed this whole series. Obviously, there is no season 2 for Joan and Bette, but I'd love to explore other famous shenanigans -- preferably old Hollywood. I don't get a rat's behiney about Biggie and Tupac.

behiney -- lol!!! Funny, on my Tivo it says season finale instead of series finale. Are we going to follow them into the spirit world in season 2? They could actually do a prequel. With maybe Kate Blanchett as Bette, and I-have-no-idea-on-earth as Joan. And as far as your Biggie/Tupac comment? Dana Jean, you're not fooling anyone. Taking a guess, you seem more like a 'Biggie' girl. And Biggie loves it when you call him big poppa!

I heard the next season will be Charles and Diana(not totally sure about this though) which doesn't interest me much but I'll watch it anyway. I wonder who will play who? (whom?)
I enjoyed the heck out of this season! The finale was sad. It was nice to see Joan in a different light besides Mommie Dearest and no wire hangers. It seemed her other kids loved her but what a lonely final existence. She was damn lucky to have Mamacita. I'm assuming they quoted Bette about Joan's death? Seemed pretty harsh to me but I guess that was typical Bette.
Were they hinting that they might have actually been friends at the end of the finale and that the feud was for PR purposes?

They seemed to be saying they could've been friends in a different reality. They were somewhat pitted against one another, I suppose. But I came away from it feeling Bette was the type of person who needed an enemy. Between the two, she was the driving force behind the feud. I loved what she said about Katharine Hepburn. Luckily, Hepburn was too smart and still too big a box-office draw to want to get within 5 feet of Bette Davis! I can't believe the studio convinced Joan Crawford to have all her jaw teeth removed at 22! That she'd comply showed how much she wanted it. Actors were made to feel insecure, and women's hold on stardom was often more fragile than male stars. Still today. It made them lash out, plus fame turns people into big babies!

Oh my god, I know! I work in the dental field and have NEVER heard of this before! Almost fell over when she said that. With some people these days(i.e. the Kardashians) I'm surprised something like this hasn't come back into fashion. Hopefully no legitimate dentist would ever do something like this now.

Drat I missed it!! I'll have to check other showings. I've never seen Baby Jane in it's entirety.

I thoroughly enjoyed this show. I will miss it. I too would like to see something similar with other celebrities. Who would they be though? I don't think I'd watch a Charles and Diana series. That's been done to death - they should really re-think that. This was such a fresh idea (to me, anyway). And excellent actors.

Something is coming on this month that I wanted to watch, but I can't think of what it might be - it's starts May 29th - I do remember that part. Anyone know? I ask because I think the ads for it were on during The Feud.
