Mark Hamill, if I'm not mistaken, played the same role in the original Flash on network TV back in the .... '80s, I think? The titular role then was played by John Wesley Shipp, who now plays Barry's imprisoned father.

And of course, we saw the inevitable line from Mark Hamill coming 30 seconds before it arrived, and we still enjoyed it just as much. We howled.

That line was a catalyst for lots of laughs and high fives here You know MUCH more about this than I do! I had no idea about the older version. VERY cool that they used the same actor for his father
