I recall watching them all. And I had a crush on Anne Francis.

My crush was focused on a different spinoff - Get Smart. Agent 99. Barbara Feldon. Oh, baby.

Roger Moore. That's the Bond I had when I was a kid, so it's one of those childhood associations, I guess. Staying up late to watch Octopussy on HBO--still my favorite Bond flick. But I dig all the Bonds, thought Skyfall was a hoot.

But for my money, freakin Matt Helm's got Bond beat by a mile! And ol Dino can sing. Let's hear Daniel Craig croon a coupla verses of Lil Ol Winedrinker Me.

Yeah, Matt Helm was cool. I liked the Flint movies too with Coburn.

When it comes to the physicality part, ol' Dean wasn't in bad shape.

But I've got to say, the current Bond looks like he could kick butt on him. Well, or pretty much the other Bonds, for that matter.

I don't have traditional biases. I liked Connery as Bond, a lot, except the diamonds one. Lazenby, not so much, but he never really had a chance. Niven, what an awful movie. Moore was one of my least favorites - smarmy and smirky just didn't do it for me. Dalton fit the profile as well as anyone, but he didn't have the material, or something. Brosnan did fine - for the first time out. Craig is actually one of my favorites. Got nice depth to his character. Glad the crapticity of his second one didn't kill him.

Looks like Robert Mitchum up top there, Cochise.

But yeah, old rough cats like that. I thought Craig looked beat all to hell in Skyfall, might be in better shape than the old guys, but he looks like he's takin a couple mean punches in the face. Coburn, Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson. Talkin hard ass.

Diamonds was a lousy movie. A long time ago when I saw Brosnan in Remington Steele I thought this is the guy who needs to be James Bond. It took Hollywood years to realize it too. I've never even watched much of any post-Connery Bond flix. No one is good enough for me.

The awful noncomedy Casino Royale (the one with Niven) nearly spoiled the title for me, but when they brought back the original Fleming story (more or less) with Craig - why, that was just a good spy yarn, very well done. It's the most I've liked the franchise since Goldeneye and then the Connery days.

You're referring to the Woody Allen Casino Royale, yes?

I haven't seen Goldeneye, but if you say it's good I might have to give it a try.
