Okay; but NO Bacon. :)

Have you ever deep fried a whole turkey? Friends did that for my birthday one year. It was so good; but it's a heart attack
waiting to happen. :wow:
No bacon?
:near_tears:
I've never deep fried one myself, but bought one a couple years ago from a local store that does it. The meat was good, but the overall appearance seemed dried out and rather mangled. I'll roast 'em myself from now on.

I always put bacon on a turkey when I cook it. Not that much, though...that's a lot! It does look purty, though!!
The bacon does a great job of helping to baste the turkey...way less work for me. And it adds flavor to the drippings, which in turn adds flavor to the gravy.
Now I want turkey. Sheesh...why's it gotta be 85 in my house these days?!
I did this last year. The turkey turned out good, but not my favorite.

I never thought of or heard of putting bacon on a turkey until I saw this picture. As soon as I saw it I thought 'let's make that' then, like you, I remembered
it is 38degC and too damn hot to put the oven on. So, now I am thinking about a bacon wrapped turkey and not doing a d**n thing about it :hammer: :lol2: and
it is only 7 30 in the morning!:hmm:

No, it didn't have any bacon on it but he made stuffing on the side that had lots of bacon in it. He did not stuff the turkey because he wasn't sure if it
would still be in the turkey when he took it out of this large deep fryer (he
built for the occasion).

A reminder to all pet owners.......... your companion does not understand the idea of celebrating the 4th with fireworks. To them it is something loud and very scary and they also feel the vibrations.

Please, so not leave them unattended in a yard- they will be very afraid. Take a little extra time to make them feel secure. Thankee.

I wish I had a soundproof room for mine.
