Just got back from getting groceries. I think maybe I should buy stock or get a job there, as much as I'm at the grocery store! ;;D

Rented a steam cleaner for my carpets, so watching hubby do that. I have a shampooer but it has shampooed it's last. This steamer thing is doing an amazing job. It is actually kind of disturbing how filthy my living room carpet truly was...now that he has made a few passes and I can see the difference.

Anyway, it is going to look amazing!

Great news LL- hope next step brings same results.
I guess that depends on whether or not he's got an uncle/cousin/whatever that works at district court. I think he's counting on having everything dismissed because he plans on moving. I'm hoping it's upheld because whether or not he moves, the crime was still committed. He's on trial for violations that have gone on for the past several years - finally! He should have been charged with each of those offenses, not had them accumulated into one, three years later. But whatever. I'll take it. It's not about whether or not it'll happen again. It's about the fact that it DID happen, and he was convicted of it.
If a cop pulls a guy over, he doesn't write out a ticket for whether or not a guy might speed again. He writes it because he already did. Same thing.
We'll see.

That always amazed me, too - how much dirt can hide in a carpet - I have a "Little Green Machine" I use on my stairs - wow - that water goes in clean and comes out so murky - bleccch!

If he is moving, then your problem is solved. It sucks for the people in his new neighborhood, as that does not actually solve the root problem, however.

:waaaht: I know! Ack! Dumping the water out! ahhh!

It will look and feel great. I owned one, had to with two pups that loved to romp and swim. Once my niece came over and offered to clean - vacuum and stuff. Okey dokey.
I found her an hour later pushing around the steam cleaner telling me that the sweeper was not working right.

Apologies Tet Mates, I got sad news Friday morning. I hope everyone had a good fourth of July. Mine would have been worse if not for my wife and the kittens. As of yesterday, all have good homes.
Some time this week, I have to go back home. Attend my grandpa's funeral. I have been taking it hard. Been quiet all weekend, sad and down. Today just not feeling anything. I have high anxiety and smashing some things sounds soo good right now. Just straight Hulk smash stuff.
*sighs* I am going to pick up my medication here in a bit. Hopefully that perks me out of this.
Wife and I move into our new apartment next week. A one bed, and we were crowded in a two bed room. Time to downsize some of our belongings.
Take care everybody.

Wulfman, am so sorry to hear of your grandpa's passing. May he be at peace. Prayers are with you and family. Dealing with the loss of a loved one can be difficult- you go through so many emotions. Allow yourself time to heal and deal with them all.

Congrats on the new apartment. Only positive vibes for your new home.

So sorry to hear of this - may your move to a new apartment be a good one and help you to keep busy. I am sure your Grandpa is at peace now and glad to be rid of the pain.

I know the area he's moving to, not far from here. But he's getting around the ordinance by moving just outside the city limits. The ordinance pertains ONLY to residents inside the city limits. He's got new neighbors as close to him as I am now, but they'll be s**t out of luck, legally. I feel for them. I truly do.

Even though there's a light at the end of the tunnel for me, I'm still pursuing him in civil court. I don't plan to ask for a lot. Just enough to let him know that, no. You can't just pish all over people and expect them to stand there for the shower.

Besides, maybe his new neighbors will appreciate receiving a copy of my suit, if it's successful, so they can use it as a precedent for their own. He can't be charged with a crime outside the city limits, but civil law knows no bounds. I might be doing his future neighbors a favor.

Thinking of doing that Tomorrow or Wed. My carpets smell like dog--lol. Not noticeable if you're sitting furniture, walking around, etc, but I like to lay on the floor :)
