Good Monday/ Tuesday(down under folks). Hope everyone survived the weekend and celebrations. Critters had a ruff night on the 4th, but all is well now.

Agree cat in a bag - the audio of Drunken Fireworks was great. Kept thinking of it as I listened to the fireworks across the road.
Narrator was spot on!

Have a good week. Relax and enjoy.

(((All in need or not)))

Loved the story, but the narrator made a great story even better. That guy was spot on. Kudos to whoever hired him.

Hello Tet! Kurben - sorry to hear about your job! Hope you find something soon! Jojo87 - you too! Though you're such a doll, I can't imagine that you wouldn't be their pick! Wulfman - so sorry to hear about your grandpa. Loss lingers, so it does. Lepplady Woohoo! Good riddance to bad rubbish. I feel sorry for his dogs, but happy they're going to be out of your life! muskrat is that you in that avatar?

Peace and love to all my SKMB friends, not mentioned above - I think about you all so much. I'm just still swamped. That's a good thing in some ways, and in other ways.... ick. I used to have more down time. I like a little down time. Plus, I'm not making it to the gym. And that's never a good thing for me.

The bad news: the a/c died (fixed now, but dang!), the dryer died (the Ogre bought a new one); the refrigerator died on the 4th of July, (God willing they'll fix it tomorrow); I got a new crack in my windshield this morning - glad I haven't fixed the last 2 yet; and then I messed up the garage door opener by hitting it with the lawnmower. Fortunately the Ogre was able to fix that. That's 5: 2 more than the "bad things happen in 3s" myth.

But hey, no one in the family is in the hospital or jail right now, so we're good!

The good news: I did enjoy my spa day last week. I won't go on and on about it but if you've never done such a thing, try to make it happen. I forgot how much tension the body holds on to.

Hey, have any of you taken the Lumosity fit test? I'm just going to go ahead and warn you: they're trying to make you think you need their product. According to them, I am nowhere near as brilliant as I thought was. I think I'm offended, but I'm too dim to know it.:hammer:

Look at me complain and then give y'all an epistle to get through. I'll just be St Paul tonight:

Brothers and sisters: well, I'm just playing, but Paul did have some good words this past Sunday - I wonder what his affliction was. Someone told me epilepsy once, I'm not sure anyone really knows.

Be good or be good at it!

kingricefan - I thought of you on the 4th! I was at a party and they were serving Fireball out of ice shot glasses (have you seen these?). I couldn't drink it because: Whiskey. Makes me think I'm queen of the world. But lawd, that drunkenness all about me due to that stuff. I'm telling you, that Fireball must be potent stuff. Those people were foolish.

Here's the shot glasses my friend made - I'd never seen such, but I don't get out much.

A friend suggest Paul suffered from bad eyesight...there's that business on the road to Damascus, blinded by the light, scales falling from his eyes...and elsewhere, I think in one of the Timothy epistles although it could be another...he writes about...Timothy as I recall, being a help to him...my friend argued Timothy read for Paul...my friend suffered from poor eyesight, too. No audiobooks at the time, kindles and other e-readers where you can change the size of the font. But it's somewhat like this other friend...guy was a Vietnamese pilot...had an Americanized name and I asked him what he thought Jesus looked like. Gary says, He was a small man! smiling and nodding. His smile was infectious so I'm smiling and I ask him why he thought that...(Gary was a small man, too.)...because He was able to slip away into the crowds so easily. Styron has a line in A Tidewater Morning I like: We each devise our means of escape from the intolerable. Messed up my garage door, missed the opener or the little safety lights...I mounted them on the ceiling 6" apart...backed into it, ladder rack on the truck bent the bottom panel, was moving it in to put the dogs in the cab never did get it fixed it still works. It's tolerable.

I'm sorry guys, I don't have time to look back through all of these right now, wondering how Lepplady did in court last week?
Hope everyone else is doing good!

Guilty.
I walked into court with a large ringed binder for each month, stuffed with videos full of dog barking and a color-coded journal describing what's on each. Times in red are after midnight, in green before 6am, in blue when it went on for more than an hour. The judge/Mayor listened to only one recording, this one on my phone, which showcased one of the many daily howl-fests I have to put up with at all hours. Didn't take 2 minutes to say "Guilty."
Dude's got 2 weeks to move the pups or face further action.
He appealed immediately, so it's not over. Next, we go to district court. But something tells me that my search for a civil lawyer just got a whole lot easier.
