And one last before I run off to work.
See how to make this incredible rainbow leopard cake.

I hope I can remember this when I have grandchildren to make birthday cakes for! :smile2:
It's pretty easy. Pipe circles of colored batter (including black) over a thin layer of plain batter, then cover with the rest of the plain batter and bake. Then when you cut the cake, the lines are cross-sections and look like spots. Do it for three layers to get multiple spots throughout the cake.
Sounds easy, but I wouldn't have thought of it.

How long would you survive in the wilderness?

You would survive for

ever in the wilderness!
Here is someone who is skilled at surviving critical situations and truly enjoys adventure! You adapt to your surroundings like few others. Even in the jungles of distant lands, you´d manage to find everything you need to survive. Whether it´s making fire, reading game trails while hunting or finding water, you know exactly what to do!

Yeah, I watched the video all the way through and it made sense when she demonstrated it but don't think I would have ever figured out to do that on my own. Seemed like the cake batter she used was a lot thicker than what I'm used to, too. It's going to be quite a few years before I'll get to try this though since none of my kids are in the "I'm ready to have a kid" stage yet. That's ok--at least one of them plans to in the next year or two. Maybe that would make a good first birthday cake when the time comes--if I remember it. :smile2:

My grandkids are all in different states from me, and I'm trying that bad boy this weekend.

Hi - ho - hi - ho, back to work you go.

We just got back from vacation on Sunday, I have 16,874 unread posts. Someone just give me the lowdown please - I'm 21 pages behind on this thread alone.

I hope everyone is doing great - no tragedies or sadness for anyone.

Neesy - kick my rear into gear! I need to get back on track with my workout. I haven't gone at all this summer. Today I blamed it on my haircut. I got a great haircut on vacation, but my friend that I workout with will give me the business about it. She likes long hair. I look better with short. And I don't want to hear her crap, so that's my excuse today. Oh - and the a/c repairman is coming - it 7:01 and he's still not here, but he says he's coming, we're just his last stop.

Oh hey - I saw a real shark - we were swimming and the lifeguard blew his whistle and herded us out of the water - there was an 8' bull shark passing through. Everyone was safe, but I needed a little courage in a bottle to get back in. My sister in law took this picture.

Beautiful to look at, but I am not sure I could eat that - leave it up to the kids to try it!
(I just had a flashback to the book Cujo - where the kids ate the cereal and it came back up all red from the dye!)
Hopefully that would not happen here :chew::icon_eek:
p.s. - suggested serving size = giant slab or 1/4 of the cake - :eat_pig:

Edit: Sorry I did not see the comments from Moderator and Lepplady - good luck! - let us know how it turns out!
(We get an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen for special occasions - I used to bake a lot in my younger years - these days it is just too hot out).

6 Famous Rock Stars When They Were Children. Can you name them all? Answers here:
I think the first one, top left, is Alice Cooper, and the next is John Lennon. I think the last one, bottom right, is Bob Dylan.

You might be right on the first two, blunt, but I think the bottom right is a girl......LOL

I haven't a clue on the others, but the Lennon one is for sure.
