Just popping in to say hello and wish you all a great day. I miss having more time to sit and chat with you guys on a regular basis! I can't wait for Fall and for things to slow down!! Hugs to you all! I am off to prepare for a 3hr orientation tomorrow for my oldest!
I was just marveling over that yesterday--life is busier and more unpredictable in the summer than when school is in! Have fun at the orientation--lol.

Awesome cake, Lepplady...my birthday is tomorrow...and the next day...and the day after that....have two more birthdays next week, too...the following weekend. One cake outta cover em all. No i'm not a leo. But I like cake. My wife, back during school daze right...she's what, second third grade...all the other kids are having birthdays, they get to wear a crown for the day, special, this that the other. She tells the teacher her birthday is tomorrow. Her birthday isn't until the end of May, but this was maybe mid-year or so. Teacher made that day for her. Heh! I'da never thought to do something like that.

Mud Lake worked out all right, rain stopped, went out, installed a couple windows, trimmed em out in pine, replaced one piece of 3/4" insulated glass...the old was cracked. got paid. always nice. fax was making pages earlier...should get some estimates done. reading. this, that, the other. onward and upward.

Found a long essay by my dad written in 1969 (I was 4 years old) when i packed up a few things from my mothers. It was about the American Novel. After the WWI - From Hemingway to Heller. I never know he wrote that. It was fun to read and i was reminded again of how much he know about literature. A lot of names i never heard of together with the wellknown. It was like talking to him again. It was fun and sad at the same time. Fun because it was a very wellwriten knowledgeable essay (as always when he wrote) and it was by him and sad because it brought back memories that he is dead.

Oh, ((( Kurben ))) this is so sweet and wonderful... and so sad too. xox
(I had a similar experience a while ago when I got to listen to an hour long radio interview of my brother-in-law who lost his battle with ALS in January this year... it made me smile and laugh and so many tears flowed. It made my heart ache just wanting to see him again.)

Sending you big hugs tonight... you make sure you and your brother have a fantastic weekend, it's so important to be with somebody who loves you.

This week... oy vey! Twelfth Night last night, Thursday, and Saturday, Macbeth today (if it doesn't rain again--DD#2 is considering a blood sacrifice to keep precipitation away--lol), Friday (even higher chance of rain!), and Monday. Add swimming lessons all week, I need to go get my classroom ready for CCD on Saturday, LilMan is going out to the lake with a friend & family on Sat (so I'll worry about drowning, of course), and we have a BBQ on Sat. evening. AND a High school friend that I haven't seen for 20 years wants to meet some time on--you guessed it--Sat. :ft:

On the positive side, we made some delicious peach butter this morning :)

Have a nice day, all. Don't do anything I wouldn't do ;)
