Oh Holly, hope he recovers quick. I was down with mono for a full month. Bedridden down. Yikes.

check out these celebrities then and older -- shocking. One that breaks my heart is Teri Garr. She has MS I think and the disease has taken a toll. poor girl.

And guess who is one of them that looks the best? Shelley Duvall.

It IS surprising - maybe she is just one of those people who improve with age (unlike most of us!)

Manuka honey with a bio active rating of 10 or higher.. helps with strep.. seriously.
Honey? I buy mine in the 3 kg size - I use it in place of sugar in coffee, tea, whatever. (But I think it's just regular Canadian honey).

You're right. The flamethrower is probably too dangerous.
Ninja stars might be more appropriate, though......I have a pretty good throwing arm.

Ninja stars are great. we, i mean you, throw at our enemies while i use my whip. Noone can stop us..

Watch out for that Sunny (I thought I heard something about sand, Yemen, Johnny Depp etc.)
(But maybe she has turned over a new leaf?)

Hope everyone has a great day today!

Just wanted to let you know... It is clear that i'll get the job. She called to day. They had not got the papers yet but she got a call that they were on the way and would call when they arrived. Then we would set up a meeting to sign the papers and decide a starting day. She also said she had looked at some of the things i'd done earlier thats on the net and was impressed. Said it was an immense work for just one person and that i should be very proud of it. (which i actually are but don't tell anyone...)
Congratulations, Kurt. :)

Checking in. I'm still around. Just sick as a dog in the great white north. Helping my kid take care of some business, then I'll be back home in the deep south, watering my plants and chasing after my cats. And getting some serious work done. Great things ahead for your favorite Lady of Lepp.

Has anyone read Elizabeth George's books? I just got one in the mail (for review), and it's a brick. Needs to be done by the 27th of October (release date). I'm not familiar with her work--is she a 'needs total concentration' writer?
Hmm, haven't read anything of hers but a quick glance of her on the web and I'm thinking, yeah, probably! Sorry!

By the way, I am guessing it's A Banquet of Consquences. That's apparently her 19th book with this main character!=D

See my answer in what are you reading. She is very clearly inspired by Dorothy Sayers. There is the policeman that are a noble(not a private detective as in sayers and also not as likeable as Wimsey was). And she is not as great a writer as Sayers was.

Good morning to you all! I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I've been lazy since my girls generously bestowed a back to school cold to me! I hope all of you are happy/healthy and are immune to those nasty back to school germs! Hugs to you all, don't work too hard!!
