The weather was finally nice enough to hike yesterday. We hiked Elk Knob. Two miles straight up the side of a mountain. I've hiked longer trails, but this one wanted to kill me.....it failed. I made it to the top and back down without falling or needing to crawl.
Even though the fall colors were greatly diminished and dulled by the rain, the view was beautiful. Pics to follow.....

Oddly enough, there were no elk.....or any other wildlife that I can remember.
Of course, the trail was more difficult that I had anticipated, and I might or might not have been delusional for part of the hike.....
