What Is Your Brain Good At? - Quiz - Quizony.com

You are best at

Thinking About Emotions
People are your first concern, whether you’re reflecting on yourself and your own behaviour or thinking about that of others. You easily understand that others have different perspectives. You consciously try to change your own behaviour for the better and maintaining strong and healthy relationships with everyone around you is very important to you.
Philosophical Thinking
You tend to ponder big questions like the meaning of life and these questions are as important – or more important to you – than smaller matters like what you should have for dinner. You aren’t concerned with issues you consider superficial (even though your friends and family might disagree about their importance) and you value ethics more than practicality. You are a “big picture,” long-range thinker.

You got Elliot! You are a shy but loving person. You are kind, studious, and a tad introverted. You like to keep quiet and not draw much attention to yourself. However, people often turn to you because you can keep secrets really well and you're super trustworthy.

Hope the wedding was spectacular! How did it go? Any funny stories?
The wedding went pretty well. It was a lovely ceremony and I only cried about 3 or 4 times. The weather was supposed to be complete crap.. and it was raining when we arrived at the church, but by the time the professional photos came around, it had cleared up enough to have them taken in a park.

Our flower girl was my niece's 14 month old daughter, and the page boy my 7-year-old son, they were to (hopefully) walk along the aisle together with a basket of rose petals to drop along the way. Well, our baby girl became impatient as the best man (my 17-year-old son) and the bridesmaid were taking their turn, so she burst forth and dumped the whole basket of petals about a metre along the aisle... :biggrin2: it was hilarious, and gorgeous.
She ended up making it the whole way with my little boy, up to the best man... they had fun.
Then came my partner and I... we both walked our son along the aisle, it was very emotional.

Next came the bride and both of her parents, her mum was in their traditional Kimono and looked lovely. My daughter-in-law was absolutely beautiful... she was a bit tearful throughout the ceremony, it was quite overwhelming for her.

After the signing of the register, they cut the cake and we had tea and coffee and some family photos in the church, then off to the park for more photos. Then my daughter-in-law changed into a traditional Kimono (the one her mother had worn to her own wedding years ago) for the reception.

After sharing a lengthy afternoon tea and the speeches, some of us went out for an evening meal and drinks. The bride and groom left for their honeymoon after that... and the day was over.

Oh! The funny story... (doh)

We'd had a rehearsal the night before that started at 7:00pm (on a Friday, so I had a tired 7-year-old following me around) and we were all naffed from spending the whole day preparing food, ironing clothes, sewing on buttons... blah-de-blah and my son and DIL and many others had spent the day decorating the church etc...
So, we run through the order of everything and left the church around 8:30pm to go to my boy's flat to pick up his bag for the honeymoon . (and my DIL's wedding shoes!)
We're all set and leaving the city to head back to our town, (I still had to paint my nails, plus another hundred or so other things before sleep) and I say to my kid... "when I was ironing shirts, I didn't see your suit trousers, where are they?"
"Oh, I've been wearing them to work..." :icon_eek:
"WTF?!"
So, I asked him if they were in the bag we'd just collected from his flat...
"No, they're in my grey bag. Ummm, mum, is my grey bag in the car?"

The grey bag is sitting on a chair in the church we'd left about half an hour ago! We raced back to the church hoping like heck that the music group would be going until 9:00pm! It was... thank goodness, so we collected the bag and head out of the city--again!

So we get home and my kid throws his rumpled suit trousers (and waistcoat!!!!) at me and begs me to iron them.
Of course the label says "Dry-clean Only". (F'k!)
So, I dampened a flannel wiped them down and covered them with a cloth and ironed them on a lower heat... they came up okay.

Bloody kids!!!!!

I got to bed around 2:00 am and was up again at 6:45 am... it's amazing what you can achieve on high adrenaline! :biggrin2:

Sorry for the novel... :a11:

The wedding sounded perfect. A special day filled with memories to keep for a lifetime. Flower girls are known for impatience when it comes to rose petals:laugh: Am so happy for the newly wed couple and for you too, Flake.

The funny story-- boys will be boys. Glad the trousers ironed out OK. All in all, each happening, and mishap added to the perfect day. Much love and green lights to the newly wed couple.

Deep breath-- three boys to go!!
