Have emptied my moms apartment yesterday. Depressing work. To throw away so much. Knowing you will never see it again... It was difficult and depressing. To see all the things she kept. My teeth from child age and a lock of my hair as a little baby. All the letters i had ever written to her including postcards. Poems and articles i had written.... It is, for some reason, difficult to see proof of all that love. Not that i ever doubted it but still .
Hopefully i can begin to concentrate on other things now, like SKMB, again.

Kurben, so sorry to hear; you have had such a difficult time of it. Better days ahead my friend.

Good to see you back, Hoss!

Okey Dokey then - I heard something on the news about "unclaimed money" to check for. I did it, and I do!
yay, I don't know how exactly how much yet, but I know it is over $100 bucks from a previous job. Just have to print the form and mail it in.

Check it out - you never know..

Happy Friday!

Yesterday was a wild and crazy day here. Scott called right after he left for work, said there were police all over the next block up from us. Then we had police and ambulance all over across the street, at the neighbor's place I told you all about a while back, the one with all the trash out front.

They hauled one person away in the ambulance, police were in and out of the house, putting evidence in the police car. Taking pictures. Not sure exactly what happened over there but it was serious this time. They were all done by the time I took the kids to school.

Then, I get home from dropping the kids off and find out that there is an armed man in a standoff with police in the middle of town. The search for him started here, that was the first bunch of police on the next street up. Had several blocks locked down and the school in that area was on a delay. They finally got him, threw a flash bang at him, got him in custody and no one was hurt, thank goodness.

Still waiting on details, if the incident across the street is connected to the standoff incident. Seems odd though, if the two things are not related, they both started at the same time, just a street apart.

Anyway, it was too much real life excitement for me. Kudos to our PD. These kinds of things aren't that common here, and they handled the situation extremely well.

I have lots of errands to get done today before RJ comes. Was going to do some yesterday, but even after the situation was resolved, I just didn't want to go out. Scott home today, so he can go with me! ;) Hope you all have a happy weekend. Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:
