I had a job interview today. It's not related to my field of studies but I guess it would be a good job anyway. Guess it would give me some opportunities to take more responsibility in a job. It's an office job with good pay. In my last and first job after my graduation I didn't have much responsibility which wasn't great in the end. They said they would tell me on thursday if I got the job or not. It would be just for one year.

The only thing that keeps from beeing absolut happy is a friend of mine which told me it would be no good to take a job which isn't related to my filed of studies. What do you think?

I would have to disagree - "no good"? Any type of experience is good when you are first starting out - you are young and flexible and I think this would be an excellent learning opportunity.

Hope when they call back to let you know whether you got it or not that they say yes! (Besides - it is only one year so just a temporary position) - is the pay good? Are there any benefits?

Good luck, niro! I think it's easier to get a job when you have a job, less pressure to take just anything. Also, since it would be a limited one-year job, it's a good opportunity to grow your skills and prove yourself. If you do get the job, use it to your advantage and learn all you can. Volunteer to do things that maybe wouldn't be your responsibility, then do them well. When you finish, you'll have some great references that you can take with you to your next job! Fingers crossed for you on Thursday! ((niro))
