It is Bunny day....It's almost bunny day.
Thank you honey! I needed to hear that. We had a productive and fun day - I cleaned all the first floor windows inside and out. The Ogre and kids trimmed shrubbery and trees and cleaned up the yard. It was beautiful here today. I think around 74 - sunny, light breeze. I made a roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli and cheese. My beloved seems no worse for the wear - we're still good, thank God. I'm going to take a bubble bath and get myself to Easter Vigil. It'll be 11pm before I'm home -if not later.Whoah there! You have a silly dream about people crying everywhere and it is automatically an omen. Oh no you don't!
Seriously - maybe you got a bad glass of wine and that is all. Did you eat after midnight?(Let's see if I can come up with some other old wives tales here...) - Nope that is all I have. If Mom were alive she would be able to tell you what it meant. She had a saying for everything, being a superstitious person from Glasgow.
Anyway - Happy Easter weekend HollyGolightly - I hope the rest of your weekend improves from here on out!

What's everybody making for Easter dinner? I know a lot of people do the traditional ham. but I think I might do a big pot of red beans and rice.

Just a ham for us - a small one. Still not sure if I will make mashed potatoes with that or not. On the side, possibly some corn niblets with butter and salt

I was going to try frozen (I have to check our freezer) but I will try that butter trick - thanks!
My daughter discovered it. I personally didn't think it would make much difference, putting butter on before or after. But when she made it, oh my gosh is there a difference!
Of course, this might just be my favorite kind of corn...
