Does anyone know that if King has a short story in an anthology, and that anthology wins an award for Best Anthology Of The Year, does King and the other writers who's stories are included in the book each get an award? I've wondered about this for a long time.
I'm not sure, Marsha would probably know. (Or Bev)

We had a very good Easter dinner tonight - actually cleaned off the dining room table and sat down together!

Brown sugar glazed ham, baked carrots, corn niblets in butter, coleslaw and mashed potato puffs. If we had any room we could have had the cranberry bran muffins I made earlier.

(Wow - when typing just now I almost put "Cranberry Brain Muffins"! :facepalm_smiley:

Good night - guess I better get to bed - I hope everyone had a very happy Easter weekend.

So tired after this weekend, but it was so worth it! Nerd heaven at FanX :) It was hard choosing which panels to attend, but I so enjoyed the ones with Nathan Fillion, Sir Patrick Stewart, and Karen Gillian. There was so much to look at that we missed most of the 'working' panels (not spotlighted on one star), but we really enjoyed ones on Joss Whedon & the art of storytelling & the Dr. Horrible Sing A Long. Closest to my heart was a THE STAND 20th anniversary panel (turns out the Stephen King's influence on Dark Fiction panel was on Friday, darn it). The panelists, Mick Garris, Marshall Moore, and Michael Collings had nothing but the best to say about Mr. King--he's apparently quite as wonderful as we all think :) For being the director of the original adaptation, Mr. Garris was surprisingly open to a remake being done (he mentioned Ben Affleck as being interested and being a good choice to direct), but questioned whether it could be done well in less than six hours (I agree with him there). Best question was about the original casting and all the WHYS for some characters--Mr Garris walked a knife edge about one particular actor, but fell on the side of kindness. He's a gentleman (and would make a great politician--lol). I came away liking him even more than I did already--a real straight shooter, and interesting to boot.

Did you get to meet Patrick Stewart? And if so, was he cool?
