You're extremely creative, profoundly imaginative, and an original thinker. You see something in your head, and your brain has a way of figuring out how it should come into existence. You see something in the world, and you already know how to improve it tenfold. You have the power to affect people's emotions and the ability to truly change how people perceive things.

I just wanted to let you all know that I will be mia the first week of September. My husband is taking his last vacation and is going to be updating our kitchen plumbing. It will not be fun, my husband is claustrophobic and he gets to crawl under the house!! My hope is that it goes quickly and easily for him. If not, it will be me under the house! Hugs to you all!
Who is Mia?

Hi and happy Hump Day to all!

I have to sign off, go down to the gym in the basement of the hospital and do my workout. It comes out of my pay ($9.98 every two weeks) plus I even have a locker down there, so no excuses!

It actually feels kinda good to get all sweaty and get my heart rate up. After sitting on my butt all day typing, it is great to get the blood circulating again. (I hope no one is sick yet of hearing me talk about this) - if so - sorry!

Not at all! It's motivating :) Summer is a terrible time for me--too busy or too hot to do as much scheduled exercise as I like (really helps with moods/depression). I've lost 30 lbs in the last year, and I want to keep going. Just getting back in the swing--30 mins of Leslie Sansone's walking DVD in the AM, 30-45 min walking the dog in the evening, and logging all my food on MyFitnessPal. Routines are the only thing that work for me. I just decided to add the 30 day plank challenge & the 30 day ab challenge on Monday, too (and my stomach muscles are still crying about it--lol). We'll get where we want to be, right? :)

You lost 30 pounds - good for you~!!

That will be the next step in my plan - to contact a dietician. I used to go to Weight Watchers but lately they have gotten a bit weird. Our local franchise has now gone National and the plan seems to have changed as well - apparently we no long counter points??? :umm::add:

I had a friend tell me about MyFitnessPal, & I like it a lot. You input what you weigh now, how much you'd like to lose per week and your level of movement during the day, and they calculate what your intake should be. You log your foods & your exercise, and it tells you how you're doing (notes correct balance--generally, of course--of calories in and out, fats, sugars, carbs, etc). My friend tried it because last Dec her doc told her she had diabetes, HBP, cholesterol issues & doc wanted to start her on a cocktail of drugs. Friend freaked out--she has a severely autistic son who is also somewhat of a savant at locks, so nothing is safe from him & everything goes in his mouth. One mistake, and he could die. Long story short (too late), she begged for a chance to change things naturally. As of today, she's lost 80 lbs, diabetes is gone, BP is normal, cholesterol good. She did it by tracking everything and moving all the time (walking, mainly). I figured if MFP helped her that much, I can use it , too :)

I got my driver's license photo in the mail (they take your picture and then it comes in the mail here). - Yikes! plus seeing how big I looked (to me, anyway) in the King Kon photos got me thinking. I was also starting to develop high blood pressure. My older sister has diabetes so I was thinking if I did not watch myself I would just keep gaining and gaining. (Plus I do feel better when I can move around faster).

I will look into MyFitnessPal as long as I do not have to pay a whole bunch for it. When I recently went to Herbal Magic for a free consultation they told me to lose 20 pounds would end up costing 1200.00 !!!! - yes twelve hundred dollars which to me is just ridiculous :disgust::drool:
