I need to start checking this thread and keeping up with you all. I still keep thinking of how the old groups work and I'm not grasping this more public board in the same way. I get it, but I am trying to get more comfortable with it.

So while I go back and read the last few pages here, how is everyone?
Doing good Ragan , Spring has sprung here... currently we're going through the 'it rains every hour or so' phase. :biggrin2:
How are you?

Doing well. Feeling proud of myself that I was able to put on my Nurse Nancy (I know, I'm dating myself!) hat and removed a stitch from my foot that the doc had forgotten to take out. What do you think, should I bill him for that?! ;-D

Very glad to see you're giving this a try and hanging in with us.

You had to do what? Tweezers or pliers?

Hello and good (whatever time it is) to you all! I just had to pop in and say hello to you all before I start my chores! May you all have a wonderful day full of peace, health, and happiness. I am off to clean up the hairball our cat left on my daughter's comforter!

You ever notice that cats, as a rule, never discharge the ole hairball on a more convenient surface to clean it up?

Sterilized the tools and stitch with rubbing alcohol, snipped the stitch with scissors, and then pulled out with tweezers, then reapplied rubbing alcohol. I did call the doc's office first to make sure it was okay for me to try it on my own and they gave me the instructions. =D

Why would you do that? Is there something wrong with the electricity at home? Lately the only time I use a hair dryer is on vacation - the rest of the time it's just leave the house with it wet!
Just as I had decided I'd go in late, because Wednesdays I have to work late, I get a call from the secretary saying she won't be there at all, and I had contractors coming in at 8am sharp to finish a project by Friday. So I jumped in the shower, packed a bag with all my getting ready supplies and dashed to the church with wet hair and had to finish my morning routine in my office. Not a good way to start the day.

Update: my ticket was dismissed from court today! Luckily I had a great Judge, last name Roach, henceforth shall be known as El Roacho, and after hearing my side of the story and also my witness' story (El Roacho said we both had very credible testimony!), he dismissed said charges. Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent!

Well I see by the clock that it is now 11:37 p.m. where I am - so goodnight all - I am sorry I have not been on here as much as I used to be. I'll try to make a better effort.
Me old body is finally starting to get used to my after work "work-out" now that I have been going there for a while - it will be one month tomorrow - woo hoo!

Hope all are doing well and all is right with you, your friends and your families! :love_heart:
Yay, Neesy! After you get in an exercise groove, your body really craves it, doesn't it? I feel achy if I don't make it to the gym.

My appendix has been a little touchy. Want to give that a go next?

Good morning all!

Had a meeting yesterday with the GATE (gifted and talented something) teacher, they tested Ali and her scores were great! So they took those scores plus her regular grades and her MAP scores, and teacher recommendations, both her teacher last year and this year, and they are putting her in the program! :D

It will be every day, during her regular class reading time, and she will be getting project based instruction in reading and math, with a little of everything else thrown in too. She is pretty excited and we are sooo proud of her!

We had a little celebratory dinner and cupcakes last night. Then our friend called, his parents are visiting from ND, so we went out with them for a bit. Was a pretty great night, all the way around!

Hope you all are doing well! Sending big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:
