Have to crawl up on a ladder today at some point...though the skies are gray...still dark-thirty. Anyone hear if gravity has been canceled for the day? I put in a chit and I think it went up the chain-of-command but as yet no mast scheduled. Seem to be accident-prone is the concern, rip open a finger, stitches, a curious double-fang mark there by the pink line scar...vampire spider? all these places that have bled, small nicks and whatnot...speck of aluminum in the eye the other day...figure I'm about due for the fabled triple-crown. Could dress up like that kid in the story about the nakkid lamp and the BB gun.

Be careful! How high do you have to go? We've got a contractor working at the church and I watch him careful trying to learn how he climbs so high and is so steady. I still have to paint my house. Just waiting until I'm brave enough. Wear goggles. Be careful.

Not high...maybe 12 to 14 feet...working like a chickadee near the top, leaning over ladder the overhang cutting in a vent hole for a bathroom exhaust vent. Maybe since I'm concerned nothing will happen, but it seems like the shorter heights is when accidents happen...I recall three over the last 25 years...4 if we go back a few more...all relatively low close to the ground. 'Bout time to head out...but I remembered an item I would have forgot. Then too...I spend a lot of time this time of year 25 feet up in a hemlock tree...therapy for the soul. Also known as hunting. The woods are lovely dark and deep and you have time to regard all those promises. That time just before full dark when the woods are deep with snow and there is crystal snow falling lightly...that is an incredible experience...maybe a full moon on the rise, no clouds. 'Bout the only one time when snow is enjoyable you don't mind shivering.
