Interview day. So very nervous. I did a drive by of the place yesterday. I got the car washed. Drove back home to landscapers blowing dirt and leaves all over. Onto my still damp car.

I stayed up way too late, could not sleep - but my foot did. Upon stepping up, it crumbled. Now I have a gimp leg, dirty car, hair a mess (because I decided that I should TRIM IT MYSELF)
and I have ice on my face and foot.

This should turn out well. :crushed:
Don't worry. You got this.

(((Neesy))) Hope your lip feels better soon!

((N_N)) good luck on your interview!

Going to be a busy weekend here. Getting off a bit early from work to get kiddo ready to trick or treat, then Sat. I will work on Month End reports and Sunday I will be cooking about 12 to 15 lbs of pulled pork (remember that thread) for a charity luncheon on Monday. Oh, yeah and hosting a bunch of folks to watch football Sunday too!

So if I don't make it on here much, hope everyone enjoys their Halloween and weekend!

Feeling frustrated for DD#1. She's having a very difficult time in college maths (I can see why: here they start using calculators for all math after fourth grade. This college class specifies "No calculators", so she's having to do long division amongst other things in her head for the first time in over a decade. Poor kid.) I'm not much help, as I loathe math, and she's too proud to ask her younger sister for help.

I wish the title "MOM" included a magic want do make things easier for the cubs *sigh*

Long division with NO calculator? Oh my! That would be a nightmare for me:down:
Much positive vibes to your daughter! I'm sure she will do great and it will come to her! :)

That sounds like so much fun! Have a great time!

I blew it, Tet.

I had a full blown panic attack. Jeesus. It was all too much. I starting shaking even before I got in there. Made a fool of myself. Dammit. I could do the job. I stammered through the technical parts of the interview.. Then they took me to a computer and gave me 2 things to measure and draw.

Any other time, I would have been fine. This time, it felt like the whole room was closing in on me.

I almost fainted, or got sick or both..

I don't know what happened. I could not breathe. I could not focus. I just wanted out of there.

sorry... damn.

You'll get the next one, and it'll be even better.
I say we have that party anyway.

Use this as a learning experience. Step back and take stock of what caused the panic attack. For the next interview- go in with a mind set of this does not matter- no pressure on yourself is allowed. Think of it as a game, a party to show off your latest trick- Anything but thinking of the experience as a "job Interview". When the right job is meant to be, it will be!
