You are a true lifesaver and a wonderful human being. You have been an unsung hero for so many people in your life. You've done amazing things for others without ever asking for a return. You've been a voice for the voiceless, and a true champion of altruism. You also respect those who have different perspectives. The qualities that most of us lack, you have maintained gracefully. It's not far-fetched to say you've already won at life!

Finished a big shopping day today. Have got all the foodstuff done. Found a really tasty cheese that will take a place of honor among the cheeses. I will actually do the making of Christmas dinner this year. A bit scary.... A first for me. What if i mess up and my mother and me are sitting there with just some cheeses? I don't like shopping but sometime you have to mingle with big crowds.

Hi All! I'm alive!! Things went great, according to the surgeon. After he said that I punched him in the stomache on both side so he could really understand how things went. ;;D Kidding, but I thought about it! I'm pretty sore still. Surprisingly more sore on the side that wasn't giving me pain before the surgery. Odd.....
Thank you all for your prayers and warm wishes. They truly helped ALOT!!!! I'll be back later to stir up some trouble (my forte).

Yeay! Great news!
My maturity level is 24 which is a reverse of my age. Hope I keep that up for the rest of my days!

My inner nationality is Canadian! Seems like there's lots of that going around! I do like the Great White North. eh?

I am sure you will do a great job! And if the worst thing that happens is that you must settle for some cheeses, that's still a pretty good day in my book!

Same here. This year is the first time I'm going to be host come Christmas. My daughter, sister, her ex husband and my nephew are coming to mine for lunch. I can't wait,my daughter is coming to mine Christmas eve and going back to her mum's the day after boxing day. It's the first time that she doesn't have to flit between her mum and me on Christmas day. It means I can relax (after lunch is sorted) knowing I don't have to leave my house all day. Her mum and myself had our moments when we first split, but we've been on great terms for the last 8 years (my daughter's 10). It makes for a lot easier stress free life.

How well do you know your Christmas movies?

Wow, I'm good. I got some of 'em right twice.

You got 14 questions correct: 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

Christmas Movie Master!
Well done! You obviously know your Christmas movies! You are probably one of the people that starts crankin’ the movies and music after Halloween, aren’t you? Maybe not, but you know by the time Thanksgiving rolls around you are ready to break out those classics like It’s a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, and maybe even a romantic comedy like Love Actually! For those of us that celebrate Christmas, these movies hold a dear place in all of our hearts, whether it’s the animated classics like A Charlie Brown Christmas, or the Christmas comedies like Elf or Christmas Vacation. Whichever of these classics is your favorite, we hope you’ve already enjoyed it a few times over!

We were invited to a party at the Rosenbergs, who took us out in their neighborhood for Christmas caroling. A couple of the neighbors were not wonderfully amused, but most took it quite well, with applause, kudos, and one mom even came out and gave us Christmas cookies until they were gone. We came back to the party house and had hot buttered rum, crab cakes, delicious cheeses, a sublime ham, a wonderful spicy sausage, and other tasty treats too numerous to mention.

I overcame my social anxiety enough to interact with people some, and Grandma later told me that I did fine, which was a relief. Afterwards, back in our own house, watching a favored show with Grandma, adult beverages, and snuggled under an afghan.

A good evening.
