Had a pretty cool day. I met up with a friend and fan at a local eatery and chatted for hours. It was pretty cool. It calmed my irritated nerves from finding out yesterday (day before?) that I was talking to a pretentious, attention-whoring internet troll I've dealt with before under different names. Why do they do it? I mean, is real life so sorely lacking that the only attention they can get is by pretending to be something online that they're not in real life? Are real relationships so lacking (or missing altogether) that they've got to fake relationships and lie to people online? How sad a life like that must be. But meeting up with somebody out here in the real world that's almost as excited for my next book as I am, getting out of the house and off this thing, made me realize that I was upset about blips of life on a screen that have precisely zip to do with my life unless I allow it. If there's a pitiful soul out there that has such a wretched life that they have to live vicariously through invented internet personas, well, it sucks to be them. I'll keep a grip on perspective and try to be grateful for what I've got going on.

Hi Everybody!!!
Looooong time since I popped in here! Way too busy these days. Barely have time to breathe, it seems. I do my best to keep up with all of you...I'm probably the most active "lurker" here. Some of the most active posters don't even know I exist, but yet I know them...weird. I read posts most every day. Not exactly sure why I don't post more. Part of it is my job...I work split shifts seven days a week, making it hard to be here much. I don't mean to complain, at least I have a job! Just miss hanging out here.

I am soooo done with Winter! Was the first time it snowed. But it keeps snowing! Sheesh...I think we're getting record amounts of snow this winter, too. Ugh.

I'd like to be able to say I'll pop in more often, but it's not likely right now, sadly. Just know that I wish I could...I miss being here 62 hours a day!!!! I think I'll try to plan a couple days vacation...catch up with some of you if I can!

There's always a spot at beanbag central for you. :)

Yeah. That sleep thing didn't work out so well for me. I've got too much on my mind and not enough sleeping pills to turn the corner. So. Here I sit. Eating yogurt and contemplating changes that should have been made long ago. I don't like 'em, but they're long overdue.
