Hope all have a wonderful day. Please stay safe in US with the snowstorm. It's above zero here, so our snow has start to melt and next week is
getting colder again, this has been the weirdest winter so far. One day it's almost -30C and next day zero.

I must apologize that I haven't had much time to be here. But I don't see Juho on the whole day when we both working, so I want to spend
time with him during he evenings and we also do so much together that unfortunately does not leave much time for this board, but I'll try to
stop by when I can, I haven't forgot my friends here, so do not get worry if you don't see me in many days, I am just busy.

Thank god is Friday tomorrow, been a busy week and I am so tired, I am off from work this weekend again, and we haven't planned anything
special, I at least is going to take it easy and rest.

Take care of you!!!

Which "Chopped" Judge Would Shatter Your Dreams

Which chopped judge would shatter your dreams.

You got: Chef Aarón Sanchez

“Chef, we were all impressed with the way you were able to transform the filling from the frosted toaster pastry into a chutney . It was packed with bold and complex flavors. However, the reindeer pâté wasn’t nearly as successful. The texture was off and it desperately needed a crunchy component to balance out the dish. For these reasons, we had to chop you today.”

I love this show! Very addicting!

You got: Chef Geoffrey Zakarian
“You probably cooked the best calf’s liver out of all of your competitors, which is why it was even more disappointing that the okra was underdone and you weren’t able to get the caviar on the plate. Your creativity and presentation were also lacking. For these reasons, we had to chop you today.”

“Chef, we thought you cooked the yak steak better than any of your competitors today. And the way you repurposed the wasabi peas was by far the most successful. Unfortunately, your heavy use of the truffle oil was your undoing. For that reason, we had to chop you today.”

“We thought your potatoes were very good. And while your sauce looked and sounded like it was really great, you dropped all of your quail on the floor and put it back on the plate. Because of this, we didn’t get a chance to try it. For these reasons, we had to chop you today. “

We love Chopped at my house!!! And this is so funny, because I would totally be the one who dropped something on the floor. I dropped my lunch in the floor just this Monday. :sigh:

Hope all are well.

I watch this show. This guy did me in:

You got: Chef Marcus Samuelsson
“In the appetizer round, your portion was too large and you left one of the basket ingredients off the plate. And in the entrée round, although we were impressed with the way you embraced and celebrated the dehydrated weaver ant eggs, we felt your dish lacked cohesion. In the dessert round, you overchurned your ice cream and it turned into butter. Unfortunately, after much deliberation, we had to chop you today.”

Happy Friday!

Been trying to catch up on posts a little bit. We are heading out the door now though, getting our taxes done. Hope RJ will be good for us! ;-D

Have a great Super Bowl weekend! Eat, drink, and yell at the tv. :biggrin-new: But, do all of those things responsibly! ;)

Go Patriots! Oh my gosh, how painful it is to say that....never, ever, ever, EVER tell my Peyton I said that.

Everyone in the path of this latest snowstorm, be safe.

Big hugs and positive vibes to all! Have a great weekend!:love_heart:

I got an offer. And i took it. It included an Ipad i think its called. A Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. I have downloaded some free books upon it, Among them Poe and Lovecraft but also Jack London, Dumas and Jules Verne. I'll try to use it and see what i think and if it is worth buying books too. But it also included a computer, a kind of laptopvariant and other stuff. We'll see what happens. If it is OK i might download some King books that aren't around in books.

Aw, feel better! (((Neesy))))

I hope everybody's day looks up.

Hi there!

My day improved and got much better - they handed out the paperwork we use to plan our vacations so that was an upper right there - I may move up one slot in the pecking order thanks to two girls being on maternity leave at the same time (they get a whole year off now after having a baby).

Happy Saturday to all!

Car, Car Car - today and yesterday. It really needed to be done. I have not been driving too much lately, but now with interviews and such - I will surely get busted with De Tags in Pa.

New Pa licence - check
Insurance - check
Registration - check
Pa Tags - check

10 days to get it inspected.

Did I mention what a pita this all is? Moved 12 miles away from DE to PA and all this.
(my luck, I will get a job in DE and move back - and do this all over again.)

errrrgh I guess this should have been in the "Rant" thread. heh, what happened to that thread anyway?

My doggy alarm clock won't let me sleep past 6am, but after a drink, a treat, outside time, and a few cuddles, she let me go back to sleep at 7:30am. Just woke up & feeling fine as paint :) Time for breakfast & a shower, then off to pick up LilMan's birthday presents. He's 9 tomorrow :) His brother turned 21 on Thursday, but his birthday was easy--I let my nephew pick out Josh's new bass amp (since I know nothing about them--lol). I have a full weekend of reading/reviewing (2 more books to get read & reviewed before mid week next week) and family time ahead. Love and green lights to the Tet--everyone be safe.

Yeah. So. The noise is not simply my imagination...this noise that sounds like the house is getting in touch with its self? OOOOOOOOOooom! Wind, I figure, must be the wind. Don't watch much teevee so that white noise isn't there to drown out my thoughts...or the house getting in touch with its self. OOoooom!...pause...OOooom!
Gaaaaaw! I ask the wife...do I need to come in there! She's in the kitchen right, e-bayin? I'm in the living room kicked back on the couch....Oooooom! No! Sometimes she gets smart and says Yes! That's it! I'm comin in there! But I don't. Feet up, book open...Oooooom!...try to read with that noise...OOOOOOooom!
Do you hear that? Sounds like...an organ...I think...someone pressing four or five keys all at once...the air running down in the pipes at the same time. No idea, me what it is. Yes! she says. Whuddaya think it is? The furnace. Ya think? I thought maybe it was the wind howling past the pipe up there...thinkin, soil pipe, but she doesn't know what a soil pipe is...that pipe that exits your roof, extends upward about a foot foot and a half...to let the stink out...gases, sewer gases. Ooommmm!
Thing of it is, like when the old biddy next door sold her house...her son-in-law'd been putting stampsand in this hole that kept opening up in back. Big rain...big hole...stampsand. He even threw some bricks in there. Rain...hole. I thought an animal was tunneling under there...but no...the ground is caving in maybe. I wonder if...I wonder wonder...wind...probably the wind...there's all these mine shafts around here...and I dunno...seems like in the past I'd feel these vibrations, big logging truck would go by? then, for sure...but I'm talkin when all is quiet, like 4-ay-emm quiet and you feel a shudder. or...you think you felt one and you wait for it to happen again...and it doesn't.
