Friends are so nice....! Just home from an evening out. A great evening out. I got presents, Riina bought flowers, though she knows i'm hopeless in keeping them alive but they looked lovely and the thjoughtfulness, Daniel got me 12 bottles of different brands of beer and a bottle of bubbly wine, Then i got three small bottles of Glenlivet, a very good scottish whisky, of different vintages in a special package. I also got a bottle of red wine and present card of about 90 USD in a big bookstore. They know i'm a big bookman but thought it would be better if i chosed myself. Then they refused to let me pay my share of the meal so they simply split the bill in seven parts and thereby divided my share between them. Very sweet of them. I got a cute little card to go with it. It said "50 is the new 30!". The food was good. The only problem i had was to carry all the gifts home.... But i managed or i wouldn't write this. And to think that i out there have even more friends is even nicer. Good day.
I hope you enjoy the Glenlivet. Given a choice of one bottle of whiskey to be stuck on an island with? I'm going with Glenlivet every time. It's quite tasty.

Happy Sunday to all! It's cold and rainy here. Had some ice this morning, but it's a little warmer, so just rain now. I am so done with winter, but they are calling for another snow event Wed/Thurs. :sigh:

Work still crazy busy and I miss my SKMB family. But hopefully, it will all be worth it soon.

When I go to the liquor store and I see both Glenlivet and Glenfiddich I always have a hard time deciding i.e. remembering which one my husband prefers. I am going to have to write it down in my wallet on a card. (I'll phone him tonight and ask him).

I was taken on a whisky tasting tour by a scottish buddy when we both worked in Leipzig, Germany, and got my priorities straight when it comes to whisky there. first place: Scottish whisky and foremost there GlenLivet and the runnerup is GlenFiddich, then there are some decent Irish whiskies and quite a bit after these we have the rest, among them american whisky.

Been feeling really down and depressed since left job on Friday. Endless applying and looking at the same jobs that come to me on email

Decided to give my self a break from it all.. But I was lookin anyway.

Saw an email that was sent tonite, on Sunday. Was from a phone interview guy. He said that he is meeting with "The Board Members" tomorrow with my resume and will get back to me tomorrow.

At least he took the time to email and say sorry it took so long to get back to me.

I cant begin to tell you all how tired I am of this.

Good luck - your post sort of puts things in perspective for me - on Monday morning I will try to get to work early and put in a full day. Sometimes I think I take my job for granted, but when I read something like this it makes me realize I should be happy to have a job.
:cheerful::butterfly: - I am sure something will turn up if you just keep trying :encouragement:

Please hang in there NN. You are good!! Someone will realise that. I was without work once for three years and it wasn't easy to be there and nasty things like depression lurked around the corner. Once it actually got me and i stopped paying the bills and everything. But i got it straightened out in the end and now i have a job. Am positive that will happen to you too. At least i got both tired and sad and almost angry at noone in particular and i didn't smile or laughed as often as i wanted too. But it resolved itself and now i am, not on safe ground exactly, but at least have a job where they say they want to hire me more permanent by the summer. So it can happen and it will happen for you too!! I'm sure of it!

(((((n_n))))) I understand the feeling. I went through a period of trying to figure out a new career. That wasn't as interesting as one might presume. Good luck, and don't give up.

All good things come to those who wait. I know you're tired of waiting, so the 'good thing' is right around the corner. It will all work out, NN, you'll see!!!

Hey everyone, sorry I went AWOL for a while.... Stupidly thought, only a week in, I was coping magnificently with the passing of my mum, and then Steve's dad, but hey, all of a sudden it appeared not, and everything hit me pretty hard for a while. Reduced life down to the basics, did alot of reading, and an AWFUL lot of cooking (Mum was a trained chef, and I think i was trying to get closer and connected). Anyway, back now. When I get in tonight I look forward to reading on the threads I've missed. ((((All in need or not)))))
