okay, I told myself that I would not panic until after Monday about jobs.
It's after Monday. I spoke to two people yesterday who were supposed to set up an interview for today, and of course it is going to ice and snow and I have not heard anything..

I am so tired of talking, thinking and worrying about this!

I feel your frustration, NN. We've been there. Try not to panic, although I know it is hard. It will get better, believe me. Prayers and good thoughts, sweetie.

My cousin loved the ring. She wouldn't let it sit in it's box either. She put it on her finger at once. Said it was a good fit and was very glad that my mother had thought about her when giving it away. She has two lively daughters, Charlotte and Emily (I wonder if she is a fan of the Bronte sisters), so anyone of them can inherit the ring and it can go on in the family. That will be nice.
I think you cousin will treasure the ring. Let us know how it goes. Take good care of yourself, Kurben.

It sounds like you gave the ring to the right person. I'm glad it will be cherished.

Finished up some work this afternoon...three windows total...one entry door where a window had been...removed an old entry door and blocked it out, sheathed the exterior, insulated, Sheetrocked the interior, hauled a truckload of waste to the transfer station. Had to snow today, too...2-4". Water dripping through the soffit again...from yesterday when it was a tad warmer. Listening to Netanyahu right now. He was talking about Iran's...reason for being...their goal, purpose. Have five windows to install at another job...finished some trim for that job last week, down in the shop behind the house. Tomorrow's s'posed to be cold again...probably get up on the roof again, knock the ice loose that is causing the backup. This customer I worked for...they bought this house foreclosure, $23-grand...someone offered them $5 grand more than they paid for it the day they closed...but they figure they can do better once the makeover is finished. Old mining house...was cutting out this old door jamb, trim...there was a pipe wrench hidden up above. I wonder what the story is behind that...some guy dropped it in the wall? What?

Don't get your hopes up, Neesy. It is a ring my mother had and i gonna give it to one of my cousins. Both my mom and I wanted it to be worn (do one say that about rings?) but since i'm not the ringtype of guy and she is my fave cousin and has two daughters so it can go on in the family. But it will come as a total surprise to her as she won't expect anything. Hope she likes emeralds. My dad and I bought it for moms 50,th birthday.
Well - that is very nice - to keep it in your family like that. It did seem a very sudden thing to me, like you had someone hiding in the wings, so to speak :glee: (It is just the way you put it - and I think you did that on purpose!)

You're right. I did. :snicker: Sorry. My wings are sadly rather empty at the moment.
It's just an expression from the theatre - like when an actor is behind the curtain, waiting for his cue to go on.

Who knows? Maybe someone in your circle of friends knows some girl who would appreciate such a wonderful guy as yourself. I am sure your Mom would be happy to see that. :adoration::cheerful::angel:

Happy Hump Day!

I've been down since we got back from our trip home. Haven't done a darn thing about rearranging for the furniture we brought back with us. Or much of anything else, either. I did cook dinner for the family last night. RJ is coming today, so he will definitely keep me busy. He is talking more and more, and counts to 3! Even holds his little pointer finger up when he says one. ;-D

Have a good day, everyone. Stay warm and safe from the never ending snow and ice. Big hugs and positive vibes to all. :love_heart:
