Just finished reading this. While not my favorite (that is still "Graveyard Shift", followed by "The Mangler" and "Sometimes They Come Back"), it was the first where my body reacted like when I feel fear. Even before the ledge from the title is first seen, I was already trembling. :nightmare:

Cats Eye was good...but it was...uummm... not horror like...
The Stand or even Misery... it was a little like cartoonish.

I think I agree with this. When I saw that trailer, I remembered I had watched this as a kid. I remembered how it went from mundane to fantastic as the stories progressed. The focus on the cat was indeed a good thing for us kids back then, so it must have been on purpose. It is definitely a different tone than "The Cat from Hell".
