You can't get around Johnny Cash. I like some country and i definitely like Cash. If i had to chose one contry artist it would be him. Many great songs. You know in the dark tower when the mention comes up about the man in black i always think about Johnny cash and that is probably not what King intended. The same with the short story of that name. I like oh you meant the devil, i thought you were talking about johnny cash. My mistake i guess.

Johnny Cash was definitely a man that crossed a lot of music across different types. I also liked that he was constantly developing his music.
...he was and always will be a true original...his material transcended genres of music, and no-one will ever match his voice....
I love Johnny Cash. I'm not a fan of today's country music, but old school county - I love it. Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, George, Patsy, Loretta.

I also liked the fact that he did not wear colors, due to the world was not free of prejudice.
My dad used to have a 78 rpm Sun record of Johnny Cash. He also had an Elvis Sun record in 78 format. I made nunchuks out of a hockey stick one day and grabbed the stacks of 78's from the house and broke them with my nunchucks. At the time it was very cool as those old 78's were brittle and broke good. Now when I look back on that stunt I feel great regret. I just recently started listening to his catalogue and love his voice.
