Loved the Moodies. Thoughtful group, full of musicality. "Story In Your Eyes" was my official love ballad in my youth. "Question" was my political anthem. Well, sorta. Rock lyrics can be a tad murky. And "Seventh Sojourn" was one of those few albums where every doggone song was one that I wanted to listen to. Didn't skip around on that one.

If I were king, they'd be there already. But since I don't run things, I recognize that it's an arbitrary, unjust world.

I'd like to see the J Geils Band get in. They had a long under appreciated career. They got some heavy radio play towards the end of their career and it destroyed them. ;-D They were the party band in my school days. We used to have a couple of isolated areas we would have impromptu parties and some one always seemed to have gigantic (horrible sounding) speakers in their vehicle they would throw on the roof and The J Geils Band were blasted out of those speakers many times. When I was in high school, we actually could get away with having these parties at night at the beach. You'd get arrested for doing that now. ;-D

Go to see you posting Mary. I hope all is well.

Nights was about his love for the woman he eventually married. At least that is what Justin Hayward said it was about.

I was so wrong in thinking it was about Knights wearing white satin. Could not get that visual out of my head. Not trying to be funny here. But yeah, that what I thought.

~oh edit - HollyGolightly thought the same thing. Didn't read the thread all the way.

Hi Holly. :cower:

Behind you
I am aware now. And feel terrible.

Nights in white satin
Never reaching the end
Letters I've written
Never meaning to send
Beauty I've always missed
With these eyes before
Just what the truth is
I can't say any more
'Cause I love you
Yes I love you
Oh how I love you

Gazing at people some hand in hand
Just what I'm going through they can't understand
Some try to tell me thoughts they cannot defend
Just what you want to be you will be in the end
