...dammit!...so hoped you could be there...
I'm not giving up, but the MOMZILLA wants the Auntie to move in with her in TN, and I'm the one that will need to fly up, pack her up and drive her back down here. And who knows when all that'll go down. But I'll ring you and the bombshell up when it does, and we'll have our breakfast party.

Dude, I'm not trying to find negatives. People have expressed concern about paying a lot for a room. I'm one of 'em. I'm just trying to help find something that everybody can afford. The earlier information comes together, the earlier people can make their plans and save up.
...and I appreciate that hun, it's just the way it came off to me-and I think the warning needed made regardless...yes, it's pricier than what I want to pay as well-but it's going to be our only trip this year, so I'll pay more...not sure why rates jumped so...but there are many, many places to stay-right around the heart of the area-and within just a few miles...I'll post a list here in a moment...

...sounds like a plan worth waiting for...

I hope I can come. My only problem with it is that the first week of August, I have a con. I set up a table at Artist's Alley for an anime convention at the Hilton in New Orleans, and that gets pricey. Last year, I didn't break even. But I've got new tricks up my sleeve so hopefully things go better. Good thing is, I can drive to the con. No air fare. But taking a plane to Ohio, a hotel for a couple of days and flying back, that's a lot of money to spend before checking in to the Hilton a week later. That's one reason I need to know what's going on as early as possible, so I can count every single penny.

It's about half an hour from downtown.
