Hello Everyone!

I had a great time in Ohio...Scott did an awesome job putting it together. I knew he would! It was such a great weekend. I enjoyed meeting everyone that was there. Good people, every one. I especially enjoyed spending time with Scott, Tracy, and Nate again. Waiting two years to see them again will be hard!
I want to thank everyone that was there for making my niece, Rissa, feel so welcome and comfy. She had a great time. She told me many times how nice everyone was. :) Maybe I can get her to join the MB now.

Save your pennies, People!!! The Kon in Maine and the Kon in Ohio are among the best experiences of my life. Amazing memories....ALL of you should get a chance to go to one of these! I guarantee you will love it!

Here are some photos from the Saturday afternoon of the Kon. I spent time with my wife and kids, when it was raining on and off. We missed the gardens but the kids had a great time on the carousel and a nearby park and bookstore.

It was great meeting you Debbie! Meeting you face-to-face and interacting with you in real time was something special! Now when I see your avatar, I think of YOU!

Using the Blonde Bombshell's original picture, and with the approval of the Dinh of the Tet, I give you a photograph from an alternate level of the the Tower where Neesy was not held up in traffic, and it didn't rain on Saturday!

...they arrived quite late last night after many traffic trials and tribulations....

View attachment 3852 ...the crew after our dinner last night, that's Neesy in the Kon shirt up front...what a hoot, she's good people....

Is there a story that goes along with the little boy? Could you understand his words?

Hi it's me Neesy kingzeppelin - who is that "wee ghostie" on the extreme right? Thanks for doing that!

Like Agincourt Concierge said - we did look a bit like pumpkins in our orange shirts.

Andy and I took the wrong ramp on the highway at Chicago - we stopped at a 7-11 to get our bearings and knew we were really lost when we saw a sign for Chicago O'Hare Airport. Anyway, long story short, after much sweating and gnashing of teeth we eventually found out way and continued to follow the path of "The Beam". Unfortunately that, combined with traffic delays due to construction and having to work a full day on Wednesday before departing all contributed to our late arrival.

I took a photo of a "Tower" while passing Chicago and there was a big truck with a Maine license plate (number plate for kingzep) so I guess that was a good sign and helped me feel better.

Everyone was lovely in Ohio - after the whole group had left, Andy and I went exploring a bit on our own. He has lots of photos in his camera which he will try to download onto our desktop but for now here is one from my camera:

p.s. We took the Sunday afternoon tour (just Andy and me) and we chose the "Hollywood" tour. By the way, I did hear Scott's recording and it sounds eerily like a small boy's voice speaking.

On our Sunday tour we saw the Vintage Baseball Team dressed in costumes and playing baseball from 2 until 4 p.m. They said they played 1863 rules, meaning "no baseball gloves, protective equipment etc."

Tracy took this pic. It is the only one that is small enough (in KBs) - the others will have to be resized.

Debbie - you and your niece were like a ray of sunshine - we enjoyed talking with you, especially the night out back of our motel room, just shooting the breeze. I hope your trip back to Colorado was a safe journey and went well. We went back to Canada through Michigan, near the Upper Peninsula. I kept thinking of Walter Oobleck the whole time as he is from that area.

We bought "pasties" which are a type of meat pie and actually had them as brunch on the way out of town. We stayed at the Bavarian Haus right on the lake, in St. Ignace. That is a lovely area of the United States to visit. :m_cruise:

In Mansfield we took a few pics, so we can post those later today! :m_photo:

Neesy with Giant's White Jeep.jpg
Here I am in front of Scott's big ole white Jeep with the giant tires, holding my "Full Dark, No Stars" book!
This was near the Travel Lodge, as you can see (if you look closely) I am wearing my shift with the 'lobstrocities' all over it.
(oh yeah - the blue wrist band is what we got to put on after paying admission to "Shawshank" aka Ohio Reformatory).
