Hmmm... You calling me a dink? When you eventually DO come to a Kon, I'll just have to attend that one also... with water balloons in hand. :)
I feel awful, I'm so sorry Dio... sometimes inappropriate things jump right from my typing fingers. :a11:

But yes... water balloons, or a game of paintball would be good. :biggrin2:

Oh, I was just kidding. I take no offense to anything here. I know it's all good natured fun and ribbing.

But a paintball battle does sound fun, although why do I have the feeling my teammates might just turn on me? :)

LOL I was thinking... Who could I trust to cover my six? Grandpa maybe, but then again, every once in awhile the devil does get to him. :)
I think so long as nobody started talking politics (it's possible they're actually forbidden at Kons lol) I think you'd find that your six would be very well covered.

...1/18 is VERY pricey, no matter what you're looking for....I've built a few kits that were even ridiculous...

I've had good luck around here. Our local wholesale club usually has 1:18 scale diecast cars for like $20 - $30. You can score stuff from Walmart and Toys R Us in that range as well. Hobby stores are more expensive though. I may have to fork over the dough for Denny's ride though. It will go well with Christine herself and the 'Cuda from Phantasm that I have :)

...I agree, wholesale or clearance ones are still in the affordable category-but you go with some of the more detailed diecast and the price shoots into the troposphere....

True, 'dat.

There is one of those seasonal type stores that operates only at Christmas time in one of our local malls that sells die-cast. I've seen stuff in there in the $100+ range. I've ordered some Ertl stuff that was a little pricey but not horrible. I'm out of storage space at the moment so there is a moratorium on expanding my collection :(

...I was sorry when Ertl stopped producing their American Muscle collection, or at least I can't find them in any of the shops around here...that was truly nice stuff, but the older cars are flat outrageous now....
