My theory is they got drunk and lost their stuff. It was easier to make up a story. They show the swimmers going through the Olympic security with wallets and cell phones.

I think the story was just for their friends at first and then it got out of hand. As my mom (and Walter Scott) used to say, ;-D
Oh, what a tangled web we weave
When first we practice to deceive!

Did anyone see this? It was cute and simply hilarious. It's been removed from utube. She ended up running and throwing the flowers.

Simone Biles conquered the world in the World Gymnastics Championships but she was swiftly brought down to earth when she arrived to the medal ceremony.

The American was just about to mount the podium after retaining her all-round title when a bee flew out of her bouquet of flowers and proceeded to attack the alarmed athlete.

As the 17-year-old ducked, cowered and sidestepped, the performance might have have lacked the elegance of her winning routine but it made for a rather delightful spectacle nonetheless

The first report came from Lochte's mother. Can you imagine the call?

"Hi mom, can you transfer some money into my account"
"You wasted all your money already? Were you out drinking?"
"no, no...IT'S NOT MY FAULT. We were in a cab and we got robbed."

How old is Lochte?

“The behavior of these athletes is not acceptable, nor does it represent the values of Team USA or the conduct of the vast majority of its members,” said the statement, which was attributed to the organization’s chief executive, Scott Blackmun.

If they continue swimming as part of the team these words have no value. And I suspect medals mean more than ethics to the team.

It's not the first time an American swimmer got away with breaking laws because he can swim.

Ryan Lochte broke his silence Friday morning as questions swirled around his account of an armed robbery in Rio last week, apologizing for his "behavior."

Too little, too late! It should have never gotten to this point, and wouldn't have if they had behaved responsibly. Give me a break!
