This link in somewhat crude so if it insults the senses and sensibilities of some members, do not press enter. If this is too raunchy Flakie, please delete....I am not sure.
When I think about the battle the ladies fought for women's rights, it makes me blush to see stuff like this. Is it a reflection of our time? Is it a total lack of grace? I would much rather see us back in the kitchens of the fifties than see us like this.Nothing romantic about these gals. I am ranting here because I have to wonder how much crap can we still watch or read without turning our heads away in shame. Too much information.

I think I'd be torqued at the maid...does not seem to me to be any reason for the maid to have pulled the plugs and put them on the shelf. But then, maybe that's what the rich and famous have done for them? Someone picks up their toys?

So were they all cleaned and sanitized? Did she dust them? or maybe arrange one tastefully on the pillow beside a chocolate mint?

Sorry to use a pun here - but is she now the "butt" of many jokes?

These young singers and starlets have no decency. What the heck is all that about? Leave something to the imagination. Maybe I was raised wrong, but I figure a little mystery is a little bit of a turn-on. This is so unsexy...it is revolting. YUCK

Any publicity works, I guess. I think she wanted to pull a Myley for the attention....probably paid off the maid.

I was thinking the same thing - it is just a publicity stunt probably (I hope! :redface-new::tongue-new:)

Maybe the maid was clueless? Maybe she thought they were some kind of heavy-duty pen cap? Arrow quivers? Oh, Ms Lahlence, I put youl allow-tips on the shelf

Was that the norm in the States? I do not think that women of the fifties were ignorant. There were different values, I suppose, but I have read about and heard about some amazing females who would not stand down, in order to pave the way for the rights of women. I would think it dishonorable to call these ladies ignorant.

Why yes, it pretty much WAS the norm. Women who didn't get married and have kids.... women who chose to educate themselves and have jobs and lives rather then follow the norm did not have an easy time at it. That's what made the women who DIDN'T stand down so extraordinary in the first place.

I'd rather live in time where women can openly joke about butt plugs then live in some sad, repressed society where women are expected to hide and denounce their sexuality. But that's just me. I guess I have no grace.

I have no problems with the women who stood up for women's rights, in fact, I respect them a lot. I do not know if you have grace or not...you appear to be nice and intelligent. There is a certain amount of respect we should have for ourselves, though. The right to shown respect was an easy deal. If we do not have a certain respect for our own selves, why expect other's to do so.

What in the world is she going around apologizing for? Her publicist is probably foaming at the mouth. What a world.

    I'm a
I guess that depends on someone's definition of 'grace'.

I found nothing wrong with Jennifer Lawrence joking about sex toys... I do find it heinous that a housekeeper would come in and remove a hidden object(s) from beneath the bed and display them on the night stand as if trying to shame the actress or piously make a point. Is it possible that the maid didn't even know what the objects were.......possibly.

What I do find obnoxious is the attention paid to trash like Miley Cyrus who has absolutely no respect for herself or anyone else for that matter. She's someone who can desperately use a lesson in etiquette.

I think this is maybe just another case of the media doing its evil deeds.

I find the other chick equally offensive...she is on the air talking about butt plugs. I think that is a little too much information. Well, it would make me all a'flutter and choose a fainting couch. Frig it, lets have mint juleps all around.
