The Shawshank residuals - Yahoo Finance

"Type "370,000" into a Google search and the site auto-completes it with "in 1966." Andy escapes in 1966 with $370,000 of the warden's ill-gotten gains."

In Mansfield in north-central Ohio, tourism officials five years ago established a tour to capitalize on what had become the area's biggest draw. The prison, courthouse and oak tree where Andy leaves money for Red are among 14 stops on the Shawshank Trail, which one weekend last summer drew about 6,000 people. (Have fun King-Kon-ners!!!)

The article includes a number of SK quotes and thoughts.

Enjoy.

Peace.

There is a Shawshank Trail? Nice! First I have heard of it - might be worth looking into :jammin:

Oh that is cool! I never even thought about all the cool sites to visit relating to the movie within the prison. Dang, I'm dim. Maybe someone brighter than me can put together a scavenger hunt for our Kon folks? I bet Linda king family fan would be good at that.

I was going to log off and watch "Grimm" (I think I have my PVR set up to record it) but now maybe I will hang around a bit longer! :question_pig::yes_pig:
Girl, I wish you were here having a glass of wine with me and talking girl talk. We'd have so much fun! I'm trying to stay awake so I can go pick up the boy from the movies soon. And I want to get in bed and read some Doctor Sleep.

I think they were going to see Godzilla - another mom dropped them off - I get to do to pick up - I always get stuck with pick up. There's really nothing good playing right now. I much rather see Shawshank again.
Well looks like Siggy got distracted by something so I think I better go take the work clothes off and get cozy here. Put on some shorts and an old oversize T-shirt (bumming around clothes).

See you later HollyGolightly! :byebye:

...thought we could see about it, when we got to the prison for the tour...was trying not to cram too much into one weekend, or we'll never get to visit...
As my son says, Scott "It's all good"

I was just thinking that since I do not have to go back up to Canada for a week, we could drive around and look at the area as part of our vacation - Andy and I need some time together to get to know one another again
