Longtime King reader..... I recently finished "Dr. Sleep". That led to me re-reading "The Shining". This led to re-watching "The Shining" with Jack and I remembered how much that movie sucked and deviated from the book.

Is it in the realm of possibility that the Shining and Dr. Sleep will be made into movies? Current versions?

Stephen redid The Shining for TV with Steven Weber. It was great.

Welcome to the boards :) I'm really a bit afraid to say this but will anyways since I'm pretty sure tv series producers don't read these threads lol...

Doctor Sleep could be made into a tv series fairly easily. There are a lot of themes in the novel that could be expanded upon. I'd rather it was made into a movie or a one season only series though.
