In your mirror.
Good evening.

Yes, I am going to say it again. ;;D The SKMB freeking rocks!

Many of us come here to shoot the breeze. Post on a goodie-roonie thread. Start a goodie-roonie thread so all can have fun and laugh. Ha!

Celebrate a wonderful happening and share our good fortune and we all Yay!

That's all good and well. But...

Sometimes, members, our family, are hurting, crying and in despair.

We come here and expose our heart and soul. We throw up our pain and sorrow. And members are more than willing to have their shoes covered in vomit and crud.

We hurt, cry and stand by them. We circle the wagons. We leave behind our differences and rally. (Yeah. We'll wait and attack later. :icon_eek: )

We post our sympathies and well wishes. But in the background?

We PM like he11!

We PM members and share things. Private experiences. Private thoughts. Things that might be too tender to them or/and ourselves.

The Stephen King Message Board allows us to state our thoughts, beliefs, questions, gripes, joys and goofiness.

And friendships are started and cemented.

Thank you, all.

Peace.

What Siggy said. Very well expressed. I can only concur (is it concur?, when you agree with the previous speaker?). Friends i never thought i would find. Viewpoints i never thought to hear expressed and debates that are interesting. And of course, the friendship and sympathy that justs oozes out of SKMB. YAY All!!!

What Siggy and Kurban said :) Y'all are pretty much my only link to the real world since we moved to the country and I couldn't ask for better friends :) I miss chatting with neighbors over the fence and I've tried it here but cows just don't have much to say and none of them read Stephen King :(

Yar, concur is correct... and I do too.

Yes it is, I concur that your statement about concurring is correct :)

Siggy is right though, it's a nice place to be, here. Maybe that's testament to the job the mods and admins do of stamping out the riff raff.

I guess you are using the term PM to refer to conversations? Those can be private but PMs can be seen by others.
(but why am I quibbling over words?) - must need more coffee! :tire::m_drink:

I agree with your post Siggy! - such a wonderful site and all thanks to the Big Guy!

I couldn't agree more, Sig. Good people here -

Eeek -those RVs DON'T belong to the True Knot, though. Just us singing kumbaya, passing the whiskey and shooting the breeze.

This one is a bit TOO pretty I think - I saw one at Halloween dressed up as Rose the Hat - she looked great!

Yes...
con·cur verb\kən-ˈkər, kän-\ : to agree with someone or something.

I agree with the positives posted above (I haven't read everything yet, though. I will). I must say that without the moderators this Board would be virtually guaranteed doomed to die. I'm not being pessimistic, just realistic. No one can control a troll except mods, none else can put out a fire started by a flamer.

I agree, the members here are the best example I know of an online group allowed to be as great as they are, individually as well as corporeally. The mods are why and how it can happen.
